NO I would not accept that response...
They have committed spiritual adultery and did so for 10 years. If any of us showed up and had a 10 year adultery or fornication record we would automatically be df'd.............no questions asked.

dear brothers,
it has been brought to our attention that certain brothers have had questions regarding the societies' membership as a non governmental organization with the united nations from 1991-2001. rest assured that we are no longer members, having removed ourselves from this organization over 3 years ago.
it was only in our undaunted zeal to proclaim the good news to "all nations" (as was jesus' admonition), in these critical last days, that the faithful slave class approved membership as an ngo.
NO I would not accept that response...

i just thought i would post some of my thoughts and feelings and ramblings about a girl i love.. .
i started working in this store in october.. .
there was a girl who worked in this store, and the moment i saw her, i fell in love with her.. .
I enjoyed reading about your friend.
You must be a "hopeless romantic" ( I am too, that's why I loved your story)..........and a very good friend that really shows you care about someone. Keep up the good work. Smiles are "priceless"...

hey guys.
both my mom, dad and sister have asked me to write them with my reasons and concerns for leaving the wts.
this is what i wrote them.
I think your response to your Dad's letter was written quite well!!!
I especially liked what you said:
I still believe in Jehovah and Jesus and I want to be a good person and a Christ like person and that's what I feel I am doing now.
How can your Dad still fault you knowing where your put your trust??? I know when I got baptized it was before they changed the questions, and I didn't dedicate myself to an organization. Jesus didn't get baptized to an organization either nor was he loyal to an organization.
I hope to hear how your Dad responds again, if you can share that with us....
Take care and many hugs,

.
i had my third jwd-anniversary on august 5th and now turned a jedi.. and nobody noticed!
.
awe...you didn't see this thread that Shera made for you earlier today:
http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/6/76480/1234115/post.ashx#1234115
I congratulated you there....but I will again!!!!
well, i got done with my taichi class.
after driving around for a little while, seeing the sights etc.. i decided to head to work early, to get changed then head to the bar for a beer or two before my shift starts.. i filled up on gas, then as i was driving away, i noticed a poor gal (35ish) walking down the sidewalk slowly.. thumbing a lift.
obviously she had been drinking, though not to the point of totally stumbling all over.. i felt so sorry for the woman, i just had to pull over and give her a lift.
What I have learned lately is to listen to my "gut feelings" and things turn out well.
Sounds like you listened to yours, and you were quite admirable for helping her out.
who is maximus?
when i first came to this board, maxiums made some kindly responses to my posts.
anyway, is maxiums an x-co/do?
Farkel:
I stumbled upon Maximus' threads a few months ago doing some research and really enjoyed his writing and experiences. I was saddened to find that he quit posting.
I am a "fader" also, and would feel very upset if somebody here demanded to know who I really am.
Please be sure to pass on how much I have enjoyed his posts....I think he is "amazing"!!!

joy writes:
in brooklyn the same time you were there.
i'm no longer a witness.
Randy, that was an awesome experience!!!
Please be sure to thank "Joy" for allowing you to share her life experience as well. Her story may just "help" some newbie or lurker!!!
For me, it just reinforced why I know the WTBS is a cult.

a lot is said on this board about religion, mind control, fantasies and debunking things that are scientifically false, etc.
but one subject i don't remember seeing addressed is that of the positive value of faith and empathy for others, and its effect on "pain.
" of course, you can have empathy for others without religion, but for those who have "lost their religion," (such as many ex-witnesses) they often question the value of living by the ethics of the christian scriptures.
Randy I have really enjoyed this thread that you have posted!!!
I enjoyed your comments on how you helped with exit-counseling!!! Wow...
Both myself and my husband are fading. I have read both of Steve Hassan's books.
I was such a great JW mom, and I want my adult children to understand it is a cult, but at the same time do it in the "right way"...
any tips from you would be helpful...IF you have time to address this.
They live thousands of miles away from me and only know of our terrible "welcoming shepherding visit"...they were both stunned and shocked at what happened. I am wracking my brains how to talk about it without "putting up walls"...I will be visiting them soon and I need discreet ammunition!!!

i would like to thank william powell, jgnat, rabbit and shera for making me feel welcome my first day here and not jumping to any paranoid conclusions because i have lurked here for a while and had to change my old alias because for some reason it would not log in.lol.
( i got some very strange responses my first day here).
i was also the laugh of the place for a few people here because i accidentally resurrected a very old post (couldnt see the itty bitty tiny numbers of the date)i guess they did not notice (except for one) that i was a newbie and i am getting use to the features here.i guess they forgot what its like to be new.. .
I have only been posting for not quite a year. Don't understand what the big "stur up" is all about.
Before posting I did look up old posts and threads for educational purposes. I never replied to them, but I wouldn't have a problem with someone posting to an old thread, especially if you just sign up or have been gone for a while. Some topics are just interesting!!!
