  Getting married next week!

  yes folks, i'm headed to hawaii this sunday and while we're there, we plan to tie the knot, barefoot on the beach.

  for those of you who don't know, my ex-wife left me when i couldn't support the wtb&ts anymore a few years back.

  i hate living alone....lisa and i have been together for a year now and she's just like mary poppins..."practically perfect in every way"!

  Our Puppy did not make it.

  well after going to bed early for it has been a long day i was awaken by my fourteen year old and she was crying for the vet just called and the puppy i got them two weeks ago just died.

  the breeder was at an expo at city hall and they all gave me those "mom i am going to die if i don't have her" looks till i forked over money i did not have for this lil baby beagle.

  we brought her home and i thought my she must be so tired for she slept a lot the first day.

  We do become attached to our pets quite easily, I for one am very attached to mine.

  Have you called the breeder? They NEED to be alerted about the animals they are selling and try to make amends.

  My step daughter got a boxer puppy and it died within a week too. They contacted the breeder and the money was refunded.

  i always try to find something to chitchat with the docs with, so i asked him about his religion.

  Kingdom News No. 37 - What Absolutely Disgusting Hypocrisy!

  my first reaction to this little tract is that it is the same thing we left at the doors in the 1970s during blitz campaigns just before armageddon in 1975. yes, we were told that the end of false religion was extremely close, and that we were stepping up our preaching activity which we expected to bring on a major round of persecution.

  we were engaged in the final notification work of condemning false religion so that the few remaining sheep might get out of babylon the great just before the great tribulation was to start.. fast forward over 30 years: the jws are still blitzing the neighborhood with kingdom news tracts saying that the end of false religion is near.

  what a sad and cruel joke!

  Raised as a JW we were always told we had "pure worship" and the Catholics were horrible cause of the pedophile problem. I can't tell you HOW many times that was said on the platform and in the Watchtower itself.

  I saw the last 10 minutes of the May 2002 Dateline, and felt the hypocrisy of the WTBS not turning in child abuse cases. I actually told myself: How can I go in good faith from door to door knowing the JW's are no better then the Catholic Church now?

  I felt Jehovah was hurt at his heart for people USING his Divine name and covering up pedophiles.... I wouldn't want those people using my name with ANY association with pedophiles or child abuse coverups!!!

  So sorry for your pain

  I have been going thru some of your thoughts since the angry/mean email I received 2 weeks ago from my adult child. IT still hurts like hell. I thought by telling him I no longer attended it would give him a bit to think about, as I raised him in the religion. Maybe after his righteous indignation wears off, he will think about why I left and do some research himself.

  To you I say this and I keep reminding myself as a mom:

  You did the best you could with what you knew in raising your kids.

  The only thing we can now change is the life we live each day.

  My Mom Is Told To Not Take Food From My Ex Because She's "Disfellowshipped"

  my mother told my aunt than my ex recently brought her some delicious food when she got out of the hospital.

  my aunt immediately cautioned her to not take anything from her or socialize with her since she is "disfellowsipped".

  my mom asked her who told her such a thing and she said, "well, you know you shouldn't have anything to do with her.

  wow...didn't know you had an ex wife...when did that happen?

  Most ex'es are treated well when they are loved by family whether it be their's or the one they just divorced from. Especially IF they were always kind to both sides of the family.
