  after watching all along the watchtower!

  i was shocked because i had a similar experience to that blonde women with the jw husband that wouldnt and didnt consumate her marriage.. i really felt like i related to her because similar happened to me.. i left after that id had enough but it was a combination of things... spent the last 2 days watching all the videos and listening to all the radio broadcasts on dirtclod.com.

  tears your heart out completely... i can relate..altho my second husband not a witness whom i was with when i became one...raped my kids and he wasnt a witness..they still didnt wanna help me either.

  i needed help i had 3 traumatised babies at the time and they didnt wanna know said i made it up and put idea in their heads.. rich aint it?.

  How long do you think being a JW will affect you?

  i haven't been on this board for a while.

  i've been on a conservative ezboard trying to see if we can't do something about political issues.

  i've also got a new job, had to get the car fixed, been best man in a wedding, and watched the two towers on vhs.

  i have heard about this forum from someone, but i won't say who as i don't want to expose them.

  i am in the process of evaluating my life as a jw.

  it has been a pretty sad life - without a real feeling of 'belonging'.

  i have been reading posts for a while, but everytime i try and post my intro, i dont know what to say, so i suppose i will just write what comes to me.

  lets see, i was born and raised in the "truth", i have never known anything else my whole life, so this is weird for me to think differently.

  i was df'd about 4 years ago when i met my "worldly" husband, i have tried for the past 2 years to be reinstated, but i guess that i have not tried hard enough, according to the elders (who btw have not been very nice or loving toward me).

  Learning The Language.

  a few moments ago, in the chat room, reference was made to a tv series called "mi 5".

  now simon, little toe and myself had never heard of it, even though it's a brit programme.

  reason is, because in the uk, it's simply called "spooks".. it was immediately pointed out to us that this is a derogatory term in the us, although over here it simply means "ghosts".. so, ladeez and gentlemen, .

  Do you still 'hear the tapes' of the Watchtower Society?

  when you sneeze and someone says "god bless you" do you hear any old tapes in your head about how thats pagan?

  at christmas time do you feel any guilt about enjoying the songs?

  Do you still hold onto any JW "theology’s"?

  I try not too...

  but i know how you feel...I still find it really hard...like for example when i pray I have this 'paranoia' that satan is the only one listening to prayers...which is so f#$kin stupid to start with...but its still there like sticking in the back of my mind...but the xmas thing...i will have to wait n see, but i keep reminding myself that what they put into my head was bs from the start, which helps me to stop the 'jw mindset'

  Jst2laws, Thank You lol...yer im pleased im out, It was odd because i did a search for mp3's on the net for someone, they wanted kingdom melodies {cringe} and I found a site with all these testimonies of ex jw's and what they had gone thru...that was the beginning of the end for me. Took me a few months after that to read up on the info I had found...It was odd because until that time id never been tempted to research the wts or even look at their poorly designed site lol but ty again for the welcome :)

  I had doubts for years...so 3.

  I never believed the 144,000 teaching, though ofcourse I never said that, I opted to keep it to myself rather than have 'endless' lectures on it. And Always had it in mind that when the big day hit there would be others (not jw) who would survive. Also I couldnt believe that Genuinly Good People Would Just be nuked.

  I didnt think the Governing Body Were All Annointed Either.
