  venting alert.....did you ever have one of those days....

  ......when you wake up sad and annoyed, and it just goes downhill fast from there?

  when all of your clothes make you feel fat, and you want breakfast but you've rummaged through the fridge and all of the cupboards and nothing sounds good, and your cheerful s/o is just making you feel worse with their attempts to make you feel better, and you can't find your favorite book anywhere, and the littlest things get on your nerves for no reason, which just makes you even more irritable because you know you're being childish but can't help it, and everything just plain sucks?

  any suggestions for the terminally cranky?.

  JW 'urban legends'

  i was thinking about some of the old jw urban legends that we grew up with and believed in as jws.

  most of the ones i remember revolved around stories about demons, and jws being "attacked" when they would do something wrong.

  some of these legends scared the crap outta me when i was little.

  Yer that sounds familar was it the same one where the paintings fell off the wall at the same time? because if it is yep ive heard it.

  Just Get Over It?

  in the last couple of days ive been reading info on the un & wts ...so have been pretty absorbed with the amount of info out there on the wts...

  anyway...it hasnt been that long since i left the wts...and a close friend of mine (never a witness) said to me ,twice now, and rather strongly again today...

  "its over, you have left, get over it...your obsessed with this, who cares, just get over it before it drives you mad...its really pathetic"

  Please don't think that "nobody" can.

  I Dont actually think that they cant understand to a point, but if they havent been a jw or had any association they really cant put themselves in the shoe's of someone who has been thru it.

  What I was trying to say is that they cant really 'understand' the feelings associated with being in the wts and leaving the wts.

  I remember quite a few...the smurfs were really popular...

  but these really come to mind...

  One was about a sister, who was in bed and a guy had broken into her house, and somehow...ended up under her bed so she lay there witnessing to him for hours (as if) and six months later he was baptised.

  ---

  the other one....somewhat weird n abit outthere...

  A couple moved into a demonized house, and every morning after her husband had gone to work and she was still in bed a demon would touch her etc...and anyway...she told her husband, he went to the elders and they asked her why she hadnt tried to get help , and she admitted she didnt want it to stop and anyway according to rumour she was DF.

  whoever made that story up had a pretty sick mind to begin with.(IMHO)

  I also too remember the ''2 angels @ the door story' they sprouted that one out at a assembly once, although they just said it was "sent in as a experience". yer right.

  The other one was demons again....only this time the couple moved into this house, and every morning when they woke up there was a huge pile of cigarette butts on their lounge room floor and their wts books went missing on a regular basis (like anyone would want them)

  A Jw' sister who couldnt have a baby was given a cabbage patch doll by her husband to cheer her up...anyway apparently she became obsessed with the doll, and claimed the doll would talk to her.. anyway one night in bed the doll attacked the husband because it was jealous , so he took it out and tried to burn it and ofcourse it wouldnt burn.

  it was chosen as one of 200 films out of 700 entries from around the world at toronto's gigglefest, the world's largest comedy short festival... i now have a date and time:.
