Troublesome Trinity Verses Part 10

the watchtower and other unitarians use scriptures that say that all things were "through" jesus christ in order to reduce him to being less than god.

they reason that since all things are "of" the father and "through" the son that therefore the son is not also jehovah with the father.

those who believe in the deity of jesus believe that both the father and the son are jehovah (though different persons within the one jehovah).

Ive given up on trying to understand the trinity...makes no sense...

I can understand how they can be 3 in union but how they get the point that Jesus is God I dont get.

Personally, I can't see meditation in any way being similar to our experiences as JWs. But, that's just my observation.

now before all you pervs out there think what i was thinking to myself, just hold it one second...*lol* i went to a tattoo convention this weekend and met some rather nice blokes from cheltenham.

they came all the way over just for the convention and we sparked up a conversation early on during the show.

Signs In The Heavens

remember the reference in the bible where it says the moon turned to blood?

well, it didn't really; it was just a lunar eclipse.

we are about to experience it here tomorrow, nov. 8th.

I remember 3 sisters in our cong (and yer nutters at that)...who claimed that the moon stimulated their hair 2 grow...during the waxing moon or some such...so they would 'time' their haircuts...so they would last longer or some crap...lmao...

as a jehovahs witness, our lives were clearly "defined".

for those of us who are no longer in the "truth", what "drives" your life now?.

for me, it is my kids ( 12, 9, 4--busy--busy--busy) ; my wife; my career; i live by my own personal value system ( tried, tested and working).. the absence of the superimposed restrictive grid of the jw lifestyle has allowed my life to blossom.

as a jehovahs witness, our lives were clearly "defined".

for those of us who are no longer in the "truth", what "drives" your life now?.

for me, it is my kids ( 12, 9, 4--busy--busy--busy) ; my wife; my career; i live by my own personal value system ( tried, tested and working).. the absence of the superimposed restrictive grid of the jw lifestyle has allowed my life to blossom.

For me atm its work..I havent left that long ago so Im trying to rebuild what I actually believe which atm is really hard...

It's really hard coming to terms with the fact that all i once believed, was founded on twisted theorys and control.

I think that work tends to help as a distraction from the depression and issues caused by finding out what I once believed wasnt 'the truth'.
