You know when I was younger and believed in adam and eve, I tried to picture just what a "perfect" woman must have looked like. I had quite a few crushes on some super models that I already considered perfect, but eve must have looked even better than them.....Now...you've ruined it!

Perhaps Eve was really a Neanderthal!
by skeeter1 inheard this researcher on dr. radio, and wanted to share the story.
science keeps blowing away the pre-biblical notion of adam and eve.. skeeter.
the dna from the 45,000-year-old bone of a man from siberia is helping to pinpoint when modern humans and neanderthals first interbred, researchers say.. although modern humans are the only surviving human lineage, others once lived on earth.

I don't want to appear rude as I am really trying to look out for your best interest. What part of you're wasting your time are you not getting? This is only going to end up badly for you.

SMART all they're going to ask you is if you believe this is God's organization and the governing body are his sole channel of communication. You are wasting your time. Read the hundreds of stories on here of people doing similar things. I don't recall one single instance that the elders agreed and left themselves. You will end up df'd like almost everyone else.

SMART I think its more of as JWs if you are one and for those of us that were, we felt special. We felt like we knew something that no one else did. We had a hope that no one else had. We could put up with all of our misery because VERY SOON it was all going to be gone. It can be very devastating to learn that none of what you hold true and so close is right. Some have devoted all of their time and energy to the religion and then lose it, losing a purpose in life they felt. That is why people fight it so much. That is why people don't want to hear what they believe might be wrong. It's much easier to cast doubt about the one dissenter than to face the facts. Read the book animal farm. It is a short read but it sums up how the watchtower works from its beginning until today.

SMART they will come back with "the light gets brigher" and they will ask you if you believe this is Jehovah's organization and the governing body are Jehovah's sole channel of communication. Once you answer in the negative to either of these questions the next thing they will say is, we will establish a judicial committee based on charges of apostasy.

One other thing I have also found with JWs and this topic, if they see what you are saying the common response is, so what? "I still believe we are in the last days, look at the wars and sickness and so on. And the preaching work! Who else does the world wide preaching work? JW.ORG, JW.ORG, JW.ORG!!"

As wifibandit pointed out you can prove using their own literature the 587 date. I would use the the January 1, 1965 Watchtower since it actually lists each king and how long they reigned EXCEPT for nabonidus. The article just happens to leave out how many years he was king. Get the Insight book and go to nabondius and it will say he is believed to have ruled for 17 years. Start at 539 bce using that 17 years and then count the years that the watchtower states in the article and you will get 587. This all will fall on deaf ears of course.

Changed: Head coverings for sisters, w15 2/15 QFR
by wifibandit indoes a female kingdom publisher need to wear a head covering if she conducts a bible study in the presence of a male publisher?.
in a questions from readers item published in the watchtower of july 15, 2002, it was stated that a sister should cover her head if she conducts a bible study in the presence of a male publisher, whether he is baptized or not.
further consideration of the matter suggests that a modification to this direction is appropriate.. if the male publisher who accompanies the sister while she conducts an established bible study is baptized, the sister would certainly want to wear a head covering.

I don't have a watchtower cd, I always enjoy looking back at an article that promoted something changed and all the scriptural support they pushed to validate it. Is there an article like this for wearing a head covering?

i have a theory about the long term doctrine of wt!
by purrpurr ini can see no reason why the gb would want to loosen their grip on their cash cow/ cushy life.
but what will they do in 20,30,50 years?
well i suspect that at some point they will claim that the promised paradise is already here but that it has come in spirtual form.

If you want to know what will happen to JWs just look at the Adventist movement. Start from the great disappointment of 1844. Armageddon didn't come. from that evolved the seventh day Adventist that now have over 18 million members. Many decades from now JWs will just have evolved into something else with more members. it's human stupidity that keeps things like these flourishing. I promise human stupidity is not going anywhere, ever!
