Today's public talk: shameless indoctrination
by OneEyedJoe intoday's talk was really somethin'.
so much so that i felt compelled to post this during the wt study.... i didn't pay attention to the theme, but where i to title the talk it would be "logical fallacy, scripture out of context, and phobia indoctrination: a case study in cult indoctrination.".
that's certainly a more honest title than whatever they gave, i'm sure.. it starts out by saying that sometimes people are skeptical about things they're told, and feel compelled to look for evidence of the claims.

If it walks likes a parrot, gawks like a parrot and squawks like a parrot, it is a parrot!
Have there ever been a single speaker giving an original talk, based on independent research and original thinking? I haven't heard one in my entire life..
So thats it in a nutshell. If you gonna go into a coal mine you're gonna get black. If you gonna go to a KH, you're are gonna get a kingdom full of parroted s*** .

So far science has identified four super clusters of galaxies comprising about 4% of the universe. While we haven't even begun to scratch the tip of the iceberg in info. and knowledge, concerning our solar system. Haven't we wasted thousands of years playing -what is essentially_ guessing games concerning dieties, entities and superman? And gotten what? Lets stick to the realities of the physical world where science is breaking ground everyday. Making our lives better. Ekeing out answers to what was considered unanswerable a few centuries ago, or even a few decades for that matter. In fact, science is the only"god" that has answered , is answering and will answer human questions. Shouldn't humans consider science god ? By extention Worship science?? I put my money on a god called science- math, physics, chemistry etc. Infallible, omnipotent, caring for man at every turn. Curing him, ensuring a long and healthy life, making hin rich, intellectually , physically and emotionally. All the things humans pray for. Well - why the heck not?
Did that answer the Q.

"We Love You All Very Much"
by Apognophos ini'm not sure if this has been discussed before.
you guys might recall that when the 2013 yearbook came out, the letter from the governing body ended a bit unusually:.
we love you all very much.

The GB ,in this instance - inadvertently- is speaking the truth. They love all congregational members" very much". For swallowing their BS , and paying for their luxurious lifestile. While doing all the dirty work!!!

"i absolutely 100% believe in god, jesus christ and everything recorded in the bible.. the reason why is because of the overwhelming amount of evidence.. there is so much evidence that it has taken me years to examine what has cemented my own convictions.".

Atheists and JWs are on the same footing!
by exWTslave inatheists believe that god should stop the large-scale injustice on earth; if he does'nt, then he does not exist.
jws believe that god will intervene sometime in the last days!.
interestingly, both throw themselves on their own expectation of soemthing god should or will do, yet in fact something god does not have to do.

This philosopher got his stone in India. His scrambled logic bear traces of Hinduish reflections, but the dead giveaway is his faulty syntax and diction - peculiar to learners of English as a second or third language in that country.

E-Watchman? Thoughts?
by thedepressedsoul ini stumbled upon the website e-watchman today and while i didn't have time to read over everything i found this thoughts so far quite interesting.
recently when reading matthew i can't help but feel that jesus warnings about the pharisees also applied to the gb and elders.
actually everytime jesus brought them up i realized how similar they are.

Atheists have arrived at the undrstanding that "god" is a by-product ( convoluted by the ridiculous claims of world religions), created by man, stemming from a deep rooted fear of death. Your understanding of your diety relegates him to the level of a costermonger selling potatoes. The more he reduces his price the more you buy. The more prayers/devotion/meditation/other ridiculous forms of communion you offer your diety, the more "happiness', you reap. This sense of entitlement is another by product of belief in "god" that all adherents to religions seemed obsessed with. Your assertion that atheists want "god to do something", is faulty understanding of what an atheist wants. An atheist has removed all concenpt of 'god' from his mind. Some, await evidence( which no world religion offered ,offers or will offer), that SCIENCE MIGHT DISCOVER the source of life someday.
