i just got out of the hospital, and have some news on my heart condition.
i have apparently had hypertension for some time and it had caused a slight thickening of my heart.
it makes the heart stiff and causes it to work harder.
I am glad that they found out what was wrong and you can now concentrate on getting yourself back in good health, wednesday. The saying is true that "we are what we eat." I am sure that there are a ton of websites that will have healthy recipes for you. I know that I have a whole folder full of recipes that I have printed out from various sites with low salt and low fat....and tasty recipes.....I know that a lot of them I got off of sites like webmd.com and drkoop.com (not sure if these are exactly the right address) but I am sure that you will find all kinds.....it was easy to find the recipes, print them out, and make them for the first time....the trick (or key I should say) is to stay on your new and healthy eating. I hope you continue to make progress in your new healthy lifestyle.

every now and then you hear on the news that a woman has given birth to a baby and never realized that she was pregnant.
oh, come on now, there are enough changes in a woman's body for her to know that something is up....it just astounds me that nine months can go by without the woman suspecting a thing.....unless you are numb from the neck down, or two cards short of a deck.surprise!
you're having a baby.

LAKELAND, Florida (AP) -- A woman who went to the emergency room thinking she was having an anxiety attack ended up giving birth in a hospital restroom.
"She didn't realize she was pregnant," Lakeland Regional Medical Center spokeswoman Cindy Sternlicht said. "When they asked if she had any reason to believe she was pregnant, she said, 'No.'"
Other patients waiting in the emergency room Tuesday heard the woman's screams from the restroom. They later broke into applause when a nurse emerged with the baby girl wrapped in a pink blanket.
Sternlicht said there was no time to get the woman on a stretcher or to a room.
About 25 nurses and paramedics surrounded the woman while she gave birth.
Sheila Holton was at the hospital when the 1:20 p.m. birth occurred.
"I was hysterical because this lady was screaming bloody murder," Holton said.
The mother asked that no information be released about her or her child. Officials said the baby is healthy and that the mother was "healthy and smiling."

yesterday i sent dr. phil an e-mail (which i'm sure he will review personally.
well, here's my suggestion: how about as many of you as feel comfortable e-mail dr. phil too and suggest that as a topic.
that might get his attention and we might get a little more attention directed to the danger of associating with jehovah's witnesses.
I have just sent the email.
I know that years ago Oprah did a show with Ray Franz, if memory serves me right. I remember coming in the room and my husband turning the channel and saying that Oprah had apostates on her show so we shouldn't watch it. Brainwashed me said "OK". Duh! I don't know if she has done anything on the recent child abuse issue though.

Good idea!
I haven't personally been affected by tragedy like you have, but I will support any effort involved to help show the world how the Watchtower religion has crippled and destroyed families. I will email them after I post this.
Dr. Phil might not personally answer your email, but I have sent emails to internet news sites before and they have sent me a prompt reply to it, so you should be getting some feedback from them.

one thing that stands out for me is how i never went to my own grandmother's burial because, after all she was dead and during the day she died it was on a thursday night and i had 2 parts to handle so i performed them well and at the end gave the congregation, "a progress report" of how my grandmother had been doing since she was in the hospital, suffering from cancer.
that evening i told the congregation that she had died that afternoon.
many people cried at that point but later i was commended by many for not missing a meeting that evening.......
What's that song........."regrets I've made a few...."
Well, I have made plenty, and the longer I live the more I can remember. Nobody gets through life unscathed. Every human being ever born has made mistakes in life. Anybody who tells you different, has never really lived life to the fullest. I regret decisions that I have made in my life that have hurt others, these are the regrets that are hard to reconcile with. But, you can not turn back the hands of time, so I try not to wallow in it too much.

The Organization itself is obsessed with its image.....hours.....money.....anything that any other business is obsessed with.
The regular rank and file witness is obsessed with trying to live with constant guilt and fear from the aforementioned business.

i know most of you american idol watchers perfer clay or reuben...and they are both worthy winners...(last year i would have croaked if kelly clarkson didn't win!
)...but i'm sure you'll agree it will be more fun if all 3 give outstanding performances tonight and it's not a token night tomorrow!
Well, I must say I was surprised to see Kimberly go last night. I still think she deserved to be in the final two. I think it will be a very interesting battle between the two guys left. They might be completely different in looks, but I think there styles are very much alike....they are crooners and ballads are their bright point. I think it will come down to who gets the best song for their voice......I have changed my mind on who will win in the end....I think it will be Clay now instead of Reuben.....Clay seems to be handling the pressure better than the velvet teddy bear.

the local needs part dealt with this need.
too many are saying we don't want to confide in the elders and let them shepherd us.
perhaps, if the elders realized that they are nothing but a pain in the butt, they would just leave everybody alone!
minimus:
If you don't want to make waves, I would think of excuses not to meet with them. It will only be a waste of time for everyone involved. You and your daughter are now labeled as spiritually weak and the meeting with them would only be depressing and degrading. Your daughter is old enough to speak for herself regarding "seeing worldly" people, that is what I would tell any nosy elders. If you do meet with them, remember that loose lips sink ships....and that you owe them nothing.

I have to go to work half way through the show, so I never get to see the whole thing! I would like to see Kimberly and Clay in the finals. But, I have a feeling that with Reuben's apparent popularity, he will win out over Clay..........leaving Kimberly and Reuben to battle it out, with Reuben winning in the end. Ever since he was labeled the "velvet teddy bear" by Gladys Knight, I think he was destined to win. He better rest up his voice, though, he sounds like he is straining his vocal cords. But, the finals are not like last years, Kelly was a sure win with her voice, whereas these three seem to be on the same par, so it is anyone's guess.
