  ok i wonder whose sitting at home hurting over something that has been said to them on here?

  i wonder whose been totally critisised for good intentions and harmless threads or posts?

  what happened to the ability to discuss things like an adult instead of diving in and making out the person who began the thread was just trying to cause trouble?

  Yes, Brummie, it is easy to forget sitting behind our computer that there are real flesh and blood human beings on the receiving end of our comments. I try to remember that when posting to newbies, always stating that even though I can give them my experiences and insight, I am not a professional and to please take my post to them for what it is worth....just my attempt to help them as much as I can. When I was reading the recent upsetting posts here, I was thinking about the potential newbies that might be put off because of all the online fighting. I hope that it doesn't scare them away......that would be a damn shame.

  Love the picture.....

  I have been spending the past half hour reading the "uptight" threads here....I might sound a little naive...but why can't we just all have a group hug and admit that we are all just human and realize it is so easy to misunderstand each other here in internetland. Not being face to face with someone, and not being familiar with their certain circumstances they might be going through, it is very easy to misread another's comments. No one is right about everything all the time....even the professionals make mistakes. It just makes me sad to see people that I have grown to appreciate over the past year at each other's throats. Please find a way to make amends you guys....I am sure that no one wanted it to go this far.

  A Schubert Impromptu

  franz schubert was an austrian composer who at one time studied with the infamous antonio scalieri.

  those of you who watched the movie "amadeus" will remember scalieri.

  schubert was born in 1797 and died in 1828 at the tender age of 31. even so, his music shows an incredible amount of maturity.

  Birthday!

  well, actually my birthday is sunday, may 18th.

  but i was born on a friday night at 9:57 pm eastern time us and it was a full moon...so i guess technically my birthday was last night's full moon.

  my new friends at the local sca group(re-enactors)are having a barbecue on sunday and i am going to bake a cake and we will all celebrate.

  Pregnant and Unaware?

  every now and then you hear on the news that a woman has given birth to a baby and never realized that she was pregnant.

  oh, come on now, there are enough changes in a woman's body for her to know that something is up....it just astounds me that nine months can go by without the woman suspecting a thing.....unless you are numb from the neck down, or two cards short of a deck.surprise!

  Your cousin was only 15, of course she wouldn't be aware of the changes that happen when a woman is pregnant. Well, maybe some 15 year olds would, but I think the majority do not. I am glad that your cousin is doing so well and that she obviously doesn't share the prejudices of some of the other members of her family. Seems like the men in that family need to have a reality check! Ten years wasted on prejudices and those kids are the ones who suffer the most. What a shame!

  oh, call me anal but i'm kinda bummed.

  school's out final grades are in and i'm a little disappointed.

  creative writing-should be an a but she hasn't put it in yet.

  Congratulations on the great grades, Shiela! A's and B's are great grades!

  What is your story about going back to school.....I would like to know. I am considering going back myself, but I haven't figured out how to do it financially. We reallly need both our incomes just to survive. Right now I have my own cleaning service and am making good money, it is just that I don't know how much longer I can go on doing this. I was an administrative assistant before having kids and still retain some of my skills, just need some refresher courses if anything. It is either going back to school or going through a temp agency which is probably better because I still have kids in school and I think it is important that someone be there for them before and after school. I just think it takes a lot of guts to go back to school after being out for so long, so you deserve extra Congratuations!

  The pitter patter of little feet doesn't last too long, does it?

  My kids were all very VOCAL children. Started when they were little babies screaming at a pitch that would take the paint off the walls.....I don't know how I still have my hearing. As the kids got older they started mixing their screaming with whining, so it wasn't as loud. It didn't really change until the older ones got into their teens when their screaming and whining turned into a much quieter form of communication.....manipulation. This subtle form of manipulation by smart teenagers is something that never goes out of style. I did it with my parents, my kids did it with me, and if there is a God, their children will do it to them.

  I suggest putting a room aside, padding the walls, and let the kids scream as loud as they want. Your sanity is worth it.
