Hang in there. Being a woman really sucks sometimes, doesn't it? I will be thinking about you next Thursday and hope that everything turns out ok.

my mother had ovarian cancer, her mother died of breast cancer, one of my father's sisters had colon cancer.
i had bleeding every two weeks for about a year myself, and now i have abdominal swelling and kidney pain, difficulty urinating(been blaming the lupus--but none of the tests are showing anything wrong!
) i look like i am pregnant the swelling is so bad.. i am having this test done next thursday.

well, after wanting a digital camera for a year or two i finally bought one.
i couldn't afford it but in a weak moment while visiting tiger direct i said to my self, i'm going to die pretty soon anyway so why not enjoy this little luxury.
it's a toshiba pdr-3300.
I love my digital camera. If you have a zoom, just be careful when using it...zooming in on a subject tends to blur it using digitals. I love my SLR.......I am looking forward to getting a digital SLR one day.
I host pictures on www.fotopic.net.
Have fun.

Ha!
The part on women.....so true!
Mrs. Shakita
i'm new here and just wanted to say hello to everyone.. i walked away a few years ago, i just couldn't believe the new light on the generation they are forcing on .
teaching people.
i also got burned - out on all the gossip and the other social garbage.
Hi Prudence!
I will be looking forward to your posts.
Mrs. Shakita
ok, i've known for a long time now that this is not "the one true religion", but i can't for the life of me, seem to make the final break.
i seldom go to meetings and am usually bored out of my mind when i do go, but for the life of me, after i've missed about 3 or 4 weeks i start feeling guilty about "missing meetings" and i'll go.
i'm really frustrated and angry with myself that i can't make the break, but in all honesty, there's still some people at the hall that i care about and i guess i'd miss them if i left completely.
Mary:
I use to have the same guilt as you, but now it has been replaced with a different guilt....Guilt that I brought my kids up in this cult. Some of the damage to them can not be undone....and I will have to live with that the rest of my life.
Hang in there, Mary, and let your conscience be your guide. Having guilt about missing boring meetings is a signal that something is wrong somewhere. Have you read Crisis of Conscience by Ray Franz? It really helped me realize that to remain as an active witness and being counted at meetings was helping the organization to perpetuate a lie. That is why I stopped going. I still see witnesses now and then, and they have no problem talking to me...and I am invited to a witness function in a few weeks that I will attend.....I still have many ties to the JW world that probably will be there forever, this is something that I must live with.
I hope that you find peace with yourself, being "on the fence"(God I hate that saying) is a hard place to be, and I have found that a lot more people than admit to it are sitting on that fence too.
Take care.
Refiners...... that poor woman....those poor children....that is one horror story! One thing that I could not figure out was how that horrible woman "found" all those kids.....weren't they missed by someone somewhere? What a sad, sad story!
Mrs. Shakita
is to hear from my daughters again.
it is not going to happen.
i just thought you'd like to know.
Rosemarie:
I can't give you want you really want for your birthday, but just know that you have friends here who share your pain and can sympathize with your emotions. You are a sweet person who deserves the best life has to give, remember that.
On August 12, please try and celebrate your birth.....because everyone's birth is a celebration of life and not something to be feared or ignored. So....

this question may not make too much sense.
if a man creates a computer, using the best parts and software design with the intent of analyzing data accurately and reliably, would he also design it with the ability or freedom to 'crash' or spread viruses to other computers if it chose to?
if a man trains a dog with the intent of being a family pet, would he also give it the knowledge to kill humans or other animals?
Hi Jessica:
I am not a bible scholar but did the Bible ever come out and say anyone including God was PERFECT according to our definition of the word?
Deut 32:4 The Rock, perfect is his activity, For all his ways are justice......
Romans 12: 2 ...that you may prove yourselves the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
Psalms 19:7 The law of Jehovah is perfect, bringing back the soul.
Matthew 5:48 You must accordingly be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.
And, there are others.
Quote from Albert Einstein:
"....I see only a deep regret that God punishes so many of His children for their numerous stupidities, for which only He Himself can be held responsible; in my opinion, only His non-existence could excuse him."
This is exactly how I feel, in a nutshell.

My husband and I have had discussions about this topic for years. I have come to the conclusion that there is no logical answer. You can't explain the unexplainable. The WT uses the old "FREE WILL" copout....and it works everytime! Well, at least most of the time. This is one of the first things you go over when studying with a new person, why Satan and his demons forsook their "perfect" existence in a trade-off for death and eventual destruction. If you can convince a new study on this point....the rest of the lies are easy. Free will.......makes perfect sense, huh?
