And, now they are reporting that the letter that the sniper left for police has "unspecified threats" against children. Oh God, if I could get my hands on the disgusting excuse of a human being! I hope all parents keep their children close to home during this time. Only the lowest form of life would threaten defenseless children! You're time will come you vile piece of crap!

This pshycopath has struck again! It hasn't been confirmed yet, but duh, what do you think!? 12 shootings, 9 people dead, and an extended community living in constant fear. And, this point about him now asking for money? This seems awful strange that he is asking now, why not after the first victim? Can't they find him through the motor vehicle agency, search out their files pinpointing white vans and narrowing down the search somehow through clues on that van that I am sure they are not giving out to the general public? It seems inconceivable to me that they don't have any eye witnesses to this event, especially with the alerted public and increased police presense! Do more people have to die to get more clues to get him? At this point, that is what it is coming down to. This scum is paralyzing the area and sitting back and getting his jollies watching the cat and mouse game where he is controlling all the shots!
My thoughts are with you Sentinel(Karen) down there where this is going on.

Congratulations to both of you!
Mr. Shakita and I will be celebrating 25 years of marriage next year. There were some bumpy roads, thanks to the WT, but here we are 25 years and four kids later, still plugging away. There is nothing like having someone there for you when you are going through all the tough times in life. Someone to lean on and know will be with you till the end. I wish you all the best in your lifelong journey together. Take care of each other.

This will be the first Halloween in 25 years we will be celebrating!
I personally am not really into Halloween that much, but my youngest daughter is dressing up as a McDonald's Chocolate Milkshake. It is so cute! And, she is so excited!
Happy Halloween to Everyone!

Sniper may be French Army deserter
by IronGland inaccording to http://abcnews.go.com/wire/world/ap20021021_524.html this article at abcnews.
isn't the term 'french army deserter' an oxymoron?

I don't know anything about him being a french army deserter, but...
I live in NJ and when I go to work I use I-95. Seems this pondscum of a human being has been choosing places off of 95 to murder his victims. Well, this morning when exiting the ramp off the highway, there were two police cars with there lights on parked right off the exit ramp. The policemen where out of their cars and looking at all the cars that were coming off the ramp. Looked right inside the car practically. The only reason I could think of was that they were told to keep a look out for this murderer off the exits up and down the 95 cooridor.
The only thing is: if I was the sniper, would I be staking out my next location to kill someone while still in this so-called white van? Of course not, I would use another car to plan the attack. So, if they are looking for the white van immediately following an attack, thinking they are preventing another murder, this sicko could be doing it without having anyone notice in a different car.
Has anyone else seen increased police presense where they live?
I think it unnerved me and made me feel safer at the same time to see the police there.

So depressed...(world conditions)
by DanTheMan intoday was one of the hardest days i've had yet since leaving jw.
i was barely able to work, and i have a knot in my stomach.. i look at the world situation and i feel so hopeless and helpless.
knowing there are millions of people outside of the u.s. that, if you were to put a button in front of them that had a label below it that said "kill every man woman and child in the u.s.a." that they wouldn't even hesitate to press it.. i wonder where it will end.

I know how you feel. I, too, have been depressed and anxious lately with all the bad news in the world. Snipers, nuclear weapons, chemical weapons, biological weapons, enough bad news to send anyone to the doctor for antidepressants. I, myself, have been having trouble sleeping lately. I have had anxiety attacks in the past. Some pretty bad. Usually happened in the kingdom hall. I would just try to breathe deeply and tell myself that it will soon be over. In my case, I think I watch too much TV. Geeze, you can watch all the bad news 24/7. All bad news, all the time.
I am not equipped to give you any advice. I am as anxious as you are. But, I do think that you sound, by your posts, to be a very nice person. If you are having thoughts about ending your life, I think maybe you need some professional advice on how to deal with your stress. People on this board can sympathize with you, and maybe give you some good advice on dealing with depression, but please seek out help from those who have experience in dealing with depression if this doesn't go away.
You will be in my thoughts, take care of yourself,
Mrs. Shakita

I will be blunt here. If you marry this guy, your life will be HELL on EARTH! I know, because I lived that life. Please take the advice given on this board to heart. So much good advice from people who have been permanently scarred from this horrible religion. When you are in love, sometimes you can not think clearly. But, this decisionis probably one of the most important ones you will ever make. Do some research on this crazy religion before you take such an important step. You must do this on your own, away from any influence from the JW's. This is because the JW's themselves don't see how horrible this religion is. They are too brainwashed by the organization to see past what they are told to do on a daily basis.
Take care of yourself and I wish you all the best.

Golden Girl:
I am so sorry about your husband.
I wish you all the strength you need to get through this tough time with your husband. I lost both my parents to cancer last year, 6 months apart. It was very tough. My thoughts will be with you both during this very difficult time.
The JW organization judges a person based solely on their performance in numbers. When you stop being an asset to that organization by adding to the hours out in Jehovahs service, they stop seeing you as a member. I am so sorry that your husband doesn't have the help of the people he sees as "friends". Such as hard lesson to learn at a time when true friends are really needed.
Take care.
