  Ladies of a "certain age", advice please.

  mystical jewish kabala, islam, christianity etc.. saying a certain name or specific verse, or writing certain words, are said to change the outcome of events and heal or inflict tragedy.

  speaking in tongues falls into this genre as well.. the sixth and seventh books of moses, used in hoodoo and voodoo, portray moses as the greatest of spell weavers with magical powers to turn a cane into a snake for instance.

  The Old Testament of the Bible and the New Testament of the Bible is the WORD OF GOD. People accept it based on faith. If you do not want to believe it then you will miss out sooooooooooooooooooooooo much in the World and in the after life. The Cross in churches represents Christ's Crucifixion and helps Christians to honor Christ's Resurrection.

  Child intimidated into no sports activities- suggestions please

  my ex is an active witness.

  i've been endeavoring to socialize my child ad best as possible.

  he loves sports in school, but has been intimidated by his father that after school activities are evil.

  God gives people different personalities. I did not do sports as a kid but I stayed out of trouble. I think you should get your kid interested in taking care of animals after school. Kids should volunteer at animal shelters or places where animals need people to help wash them, and play with them. Kids learn should be taught to be kind, and not malicious at a young age. Sports alone will not stop children or teens from being bad.

  AUTISM and JW children

  i remember having to sit still through long, boring meetings.

  i remember being taken to the book room for numerous spankings.

  I studied Autism in children. The Bible teaches us, "I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength"-Philippians 4:13.

  Autism means children need more training and more repetition so they can learn things. In college, we studied Carl Jung "An American psychologist" who worked with Autistic children and was able to literally raise their IQ within a year, and more years of training. He started with them when they were about 4 years old and sometimes younger. You have to be consistent with whatever rules you give them, and explain and re-explain things over and over again to them so they can understand what is going on. Read Carl Jung's books on infantile autism and training children to be functional children, teens and adults.

  Please do not take offense but I would not make an Autistic child sit through a worship service. I would have Bible studies with them at home. Trying to make them be still for a long time is not doable. Let a trustworthy babysitter watch your children during the service, and when you get back home start reading different Bible stories to them. Then go over each Scripture with them and explain it and for a praise session ask your kids to explain the good things that God has done for them that day.

  That's my best advice for you.

  does anyone gave experience with a puppy that nipps/mouths consistently?

  i got a puppy a week ago, i tryed everything, he mouths a lot, its not aggesive, but he's 3 months and 37 pounds so it does not ticlke lol.

  You do not have a bad dog. I would recommend getting a spray bottle and filling it with plain water. When he gnaws on you spray him in the face (not the nose) and he will eventually stop. It might stop him 100% in a week.

  Star Trails

  one of the things that i have only done once... but i would love to do again and again until i perfect the technique, is called star trails.. my camera is a canon 60d.

  there is a way to "hack" the canon dslr's so that they get some amazing functionalities, such as taking a picture just by clapping (really cool for when you want to take a picture and no one is able to push the button) and taking pictures at certain intervals.. you can read more about this "hacking" on .
