I cannot paste the info but google "dates of end of the world predictions" you will find that mankind has been talking and giving dates when it will happen for 1000's of years.
JW's are mentioned about ten times.
being pushed by religion since the 17th century.
my question is why ?.

so the rc really sucked, but i made it through.
the propaganda was mind blowing.
i don't know if the crap will be available on the official website or not, but hopefully it gets leaked somehow.
The watchtower is good at making people feel guilty all the time for not doing enough.
At assemblies thay would bring out experiences of sisters with unbeliving husband and 5 kids and they were pioneering and at the end they would ask the audience " Can you go in prayer before Jehovah and give him an excuse why you are not pioneering?"
I would hear from my ex-wife the same as you while i was trying to pay the bills, raise 3 kids.
Ask your wife if you notice in the congregation anyone that has been helped by Jehovah?

my best friend of 14 years and maid of honor passed away 2 months ago at age 32 after battling breast cancer for 6 years.
i haven't been the same since for many reasons.. as a jw kid i believed 144,000 chosen went to heaven, the good people would be resurrected including those who didn't have a chance to hear about jehovah, and the rest, which were of other religions and bad people, died and would cease to exist.
again, because i was a kid when i left, i never really understood the jw position on death and why they came to their conclusion.
No evidence that "something" goes to heaven after we die, no one has ever come back besides what we read in the bible which i don't believe anymore.
No hell for sure.
pure speculation for several reasons.. "friends, it has been 100 momentous years since christ arrived as king.
in the last 100 years a great shout of praise has gone up to jehovah.
technology has greatly changed the way people live and communicate and jehovah has made sure that his organization is on the forefront of these changes.
A little at a time they have been eliminating meetings, assemblies and it would not be shocking just like Paul mentioned in the 1st century that the preaching was done, the watchtower can claim the same.
Encourage the publisher to witness informally and send the money that they are saving on gas and car maintenance to the watchtower for building projects.
The GB is not stupid, they realize knocking on doors is nothing but a waste of time and money.
i believe that the older you are the harder it is to leave the watchtower.. .
i am attempting to get a list of ages people learnt the "truth" and what age they left.. .
uun.
Came in at 22 and left at 54.
32 years in and so glad to be out.
my dad told me this story long time ago.
there was an long time elder that is never married.
he got caught going to brothel one day after a brother followed him there.
One of my best friend, an elder, married to a sweet woman, two kids, confessed going to prostitutes for many years so he could get a BJ.
He was DF , of course removed as an elder
if this were the "organization" that jesus chose in 1914.. err 1919, wouldn't the principles that he laid out while on earth apply to this organization as well?.
matthew 5:42 "give to the one who begs from you, and do not refuse the one who would borrow from you.".
so if jw's all asked for loans from the org, every now and then, it would be the orgs responsibility to grant those loans (interest free).
Give it a try and send them the scripture along with it and see what the response will be!! :) :)
i am inactive for about 10 years now..
Inactive since 2007...sneaked out and never to be found again.
It looks like Jesus keeps on changing his mind of what the truth is all about.
