I know what you mean. I thought I had slipped under the radar.
I hope I don't have to go through this every 6 months.

sometime this week.
my parents are getting a lot of heat from the congregation, and tension in my house was already super high.
i know it's inevitable.
Bobert , I hope everything is going ok.
It sounds like you are going through a rough time. Please let us know how things are going for you. The more info you share the better able we will be to help you. Many here have been through similar situations and can give you great advice.

most people feel that it is unethical to post private messages.. how ever there does not seem to be a posting rule against it.. some people unfamiliar with posting on boards may not realize that it is not done to post private messages .
( even though it would seem self evident with the word private in it.).
so what do you think about making it an official posting rule?.

i was alone at the new branch construction site in ticuantepe (nicaragua).
everybody had taken off for a weekend assembly in the capital and it was my turn to have watchman duty and guard the site.
we had dogs and i only had to walk around the perimeters and check all the gates and entrances.. suddenly a young boy appeared at the main gate, breathless and visibly nervous.
Blue Pill thank you for putting in words what I was trying to clarify to myself. Seeing it in black and white makes it easier for me to understand the realities of our finite future.
The realities of the natural order of the life and death cycle is somehow comforting.
We were always taught that death was unnatural. So the naturalness of death is a concept I will have to work on.

my mom has not been to any meetings or participated in field service since august 2013. she cannot walk due to all her medical conditions.
she is either in bed or sitting in a wheel chair.. our family hired a caretaker monday - friday to help her eat, take her to the bathroom and sit with her in case she needs anything.
in the evenings and weekends, we have family members take care of her.
Don't forget the loving provision of letting them count 15 min. So they are not considered inactive.
If she was in a coma and had a tract or magazine on her bed, could her family turn in time for her?
Or if she was just bed bound and had a magazine displayed could she count each nurses visit as a return visit and count the time?
Just wondering.
i have had to remove my rant because hubby doesn't want the jw realatives to retaliate again..
Pm me and vent to your heart's content. Besides what are those JWs doing on here anyway? Tell them prove it.

we had a co looking for a certain experience for an assembly part coming up and the elders in my hall at the time sent him to see me, since i usually had good experiences out in field service.. anyway, after speaking with the co, i was sorry to inform him that i did not have an experience that suited the type he needed.
he told me that was o.k.
because he could use me anyway for another part.
I wonder what would happen if more people would agree to tell their experience, they could let the Bro. Think they will go along with the exaggerated experiences but change to the truth when they got on stage?
before i dive into the actual write-up of this experience, let me put some things straight.. i have thought long and hard if i should write more about my experiences during the 10+ years at different branches.
during these years i worked from financial department, service department, home office and different it assignments.
as you can imagine one sees and hears and reads a lot of stuff going through different stations in different countries.
BP: Read your story. Hope to read part 2.

i have noticed that some of us are a bit too eager to label new posters as trolls.
while it is clear that there are some posters who just like to stir up trouble or are out and out apologists there are others who are witnesses starting to have genuine doubts and so ask questions but then when they see the responses the cognitive dissonance kicks in and they push back and argue with what they are being told.
this can lead to very negative reactions from jwn members and accusations that the person is a troll.
Oh no Village Girl we do not want to make him afraid of thunderstorms.
Armageddon is a hard fear to shake when you have been taught it all your life.
I remember one time I was listening to the news and heard them say something about peace and security. I was really expecting destruction to come.
I am only now finally living my life without watching for "signs" or afraid that my family and I are doomed at Armageddon.
It takes time to free ourselves.
