  My First "Publication Free" Study...

  fist, she tried to get me to start once again in the bible teach book as if i had never said i didnt want to study from the pubs, so i reminded her.

  i reminded her that i feel ok with my relationship with god. i simply trying to understand the biblical basis for the wt teachings and i am finding that i understamd things a bit differently. i reminded her my qiestions are about more than blood...1914, all other failed doomsday prophesies that began in the 1700s, shunning, discourage free thinking, holidays l, the fds,.selective bible use, etc. she said we will focus on blood and asked me to read from reasoning again. she was frazzled, asked if i still wanted to stidy and kept pushing to use bible teach. hmmm. no. so it will be interesting to see if she again tries to dove right in to bible teach again or reasoning...or the actual bible....hmmmm

  Fist, she tried to get me to start once again in the bible teach book as if i had never said i didnt want to study from the pubs, so i reminded her. she grabbed her reasoning book then and saod we would use that "for the verses" but immediately asked me to start reading from it.

  The topic of the day was blood. i actually became glad she pulled the reasoning book in as it helped me support my points...who would have known!!!

  she kept saying the bible tells us to abstain from blood in all forms. i explained that my understanding is that it was specifically referencing eating blood...and even says so in the reasoning book. i then broke down blood fractions and said based on that theory if the blood was broken downn i could take all fractions at once wothout violating thwir understanding, they said i could not do that, i asked for a reference in the bible....nothing. then the sister told me that the blood is the person, amd by getting their blood we get their addictions. in the end she said she would have to do further research and get back to me. there is allot more but i am on my phone and hate long posts from it.

  reading the bible as a child freaked me out....

  as an adult? hard to take seriously. already into ex. amd how many people has jah killed or, as written in the nnwt, "exterminate" them...it is jist bizzarre. and the dub take on some of this stuff....i...see..crazy.....people....

  i occasionally pop through here to catch up on the latest, but this time i'm going to pop my own post on here.. some of you internet oldsters may even remember this.

  my first experience on the internet regarding discussions about jehovah's witnesses and the watchtower took place on a now-obscure usenet group, before i eventually stumbled across hourglass2.. during those days, there was a poster who went by the name "prominent bethelite," an otherwise anonymous individual whom i remember most for an extensive, exhaustive compilation of date-oriented remarks, predictions, and expectations by the watchtower organization down through the decades of its history.. it became known as "the list" and it's definitely lengthy... but a fascination look at the abundance of errant statements made through the watchtower's history.. if you're curious, it's been available for a long time on hourglass2's site, and can be seen using the link provided below.. the list, compiled by prominent bethelite (1999).

  its been a very eye opening experience for me to find out that the god of the bible is as real as thor or ra.

  i still believe a higher power created life but can see now how it doesn't really care about us.

  so with this in mind realizing one has only 70-80 years to live and that may be just it, is very stunning..

  my mind is starting to wonder in that direction. I never gave much thought to it before but the more i researcj, the more questions i have about the bible. i know i absolutely dont beloeve the wt, but now i am questioning more and more aboit the bible and religion in general.

  I have considered myself a nondenominashional christian, believing God loves good people...and doesnt expect perfection...saw many examples of jesus showing love to sinners. now i wonder...about everything.

  rebel...oh it would be so great if he could see the light. it is so hard to study and meet etc. when the more i do and learn the less i cant stand it. i see how involved he is and how serious he takes it...he was raised being told by everyone in his family that it was the truth. it is hard to fight that.
