HeyThere
But I do have to add, I am not anti-vaccination. I just happen to have a bad reaction to flu shot myself. There are risks with any medical procedure, and ingredients in vaccinations can be found in many other items sold for human consumption...such as twinkies or breakfast cereal. -
HeyThere
Compound, for me it happened all times within hours of getting the flu shot. A very weird and deep exhaustion. My doctor (after the last attempt) have advised me not to get any more flu shots. They talked me into it the last time, about 5 or 6 years ago, by telling me how improved it was. Hahaha. Not for me. -
HeyThere
I have had reactions a few times and will not be taking a flu shot again. The last time I got one my doctor talked me into it and I had yet another reaction.
My reactions are similar each time, I get damn near lethargic and laid out super weak for several days. Last time I slept nearly 3 days straight.
I am allergic to something in flu shots.
My daughter gets them every year and never has had a problem.

HeyThere
I can relate to you in so many ways...except I'm the wife in the situation. My husband was basically born in, but not active when we met and married a couple years ago he started going back and full in. When I started questioning he freaked out on me and shunned me. I finally had to put my foot down, and I ended up telling him to move out several months ago and told him I wasn't going to live that way. He cleaned up his act real quick, we don't talk religion really anymore.
I still don't know how our relationship will end up. But it is so hard being in this situation. I am so sorry you are dealing with the cult spouse. It's life draining. If you want more details or just to vent etc.about the special kind of crazy just message me.

Does Anyone Still Believe in God?
by LaurenM indo any of you ex-jw's still believe in god?
even with the new rebranding/softening of this religion, i still don't see how people can believe in him.
the god of the old testimate is an angry murderer who approved rapes and slavery and killed thousands of men, women and children.

HeyThere
I have not read all the responses but will share my thoughts on the matter.
I was raised christian, and went to a methodist church in my youth. As a kid, and young adult, yes I believed in God and respected religion in general. As I got older, more educated, more experienced in the reality of life...well, I started believing that no all powerful God would allow such atrocities to happen. I began to recognize the control religion yields over people...and all the atrocities done in the name of religion...and I became agnostic.
I still consider myself agnostic...I do not believe in the bible God...the bible just doesn't make any sense. So much crazy stuff...I believe there is a better chance of ancient aliens theories being true rather than bible god.ππ²
Religion can help some people be better people...like they need those beliefs to guide them...but most people don't need religion to be good people in general.
Humans are curious by nature. We like having reasons for why things happen. God fills that purpose.
The bible is...disgusting. there are some great lessons in there about treating people kindly...but it's mixed in with examples of treating people horribly, as well.
Angels, and God, for that matter, are given human traits...such as the angels falling in love and making babies with human women...or God arguing with Moses about smiting down the people...shoot, God has a temper that borders on jealous, murderous rage...
...and why would all of humanity suffer because 2 people who were perfect (and didn't have knowledge of bad) did something...bad?!?! How did they know it was bad if they didn't have that knowledge?
So, no, I don't believe in God. I believe in the possibility of a creator, but not one anything like the bible tells us.

Cedars leaked letter requested to be taken down by WTBTS
by umbertoecho ini don't know if this is already posted so sorry people if it is.
cedars site has had a request to take down the leaked letter regarding changes to the theocratic ministry school and other issues.. the reason given by wt is that it is a "copyright" issue.
of course this validates the letters authenticity even more.. have a good day or night people.

He said that just because a letter or other publication is made available to the public doesn't mean witnesses should read it but should instead remain obedient to the wishes of mother not to read it.
