Illegal immigrants in the organization?
by silent ini had a thought today that might prove interesting.
i'm wondering if there are any illegal immigrants who are witnesses?
surely it would be a great position to be in as an illegal immigrant because you could play up your plight and prey on the sympathies of others within the congregation.

In the congregation I go to (Spanish), almost half are illegal immigrants. One of the was appointed once as an elder. He was an elder for only 6 months. When the next CO visited our congregation he was removed because he had no drivers license. Last assembly in San Diego almost all of them didn't go. They went to Long Beach and I heard that it was over crowded. They had to make an announcement that if their congo was not assigned there, they must not go. San Diego was almost empty. At lunch time they would filled with brothers and sisters the back rows of seats to give an impression that the stadium was full.

The BS Two Witness Rule - John 8
by berrygerry inmany posts have been made regarding the total bs 2 witness rule in order to protect molesters.. did not jesus dispense with this bs rule in john 8:17,18?.
i.e., the father witnesses all, therefore, only one human witness is required?.

I don't know why they haven't changed that. They always change Jesus's words.
Jesus said after his resurrection: " All authority has been given me in heaven and on the earth" (Matthew 28:18) But the Watchtower says that it was until 1914.
Jesus also said that all his followers have to eat his flesh and drink his blood: " Whoever feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood remains in union with me, and I in union with him" (John 6:56) But the Watchower says that only 144,000 have the right to do it.
After all the law suits coming their way and all the millions they will lose, the GB will get new light: " Two witnesses are not required Jesus' words don't mean a damn s**t to us".

after going through my teenage years trying to be the perfect jw, i realized that trying to live up to the standards imposed on me have been for worse & not for better.
i was feeling miserable, repressed, unfulfilled, with a great lack of self confidence & self esteem.

New requirement to become an Elder or Ministerial Servant!
by hardtobeme init has been a few months since i hear this from an elder.
he said that the c/o told them this new requirement.. "men that wanna be an elder or ministerial servant has to go out to field service on sundays.
if there is an elder or ministerial servant that is not going out to field service on sunday can lose the priviledge".

Another thing I remember this elder told me is that the C/O told them that the society has fought so many times even in the supreme court to have the right to preach on Sundays. And if a brother that wants to be a Ministerial Sevant or Elder don't go out on Sunday to preach, it means that they don't appriciate what Jehovah's organization has done for us to preach on Sunday. For that reason they would not be an example to the brothers.
What do you think about that?

So, I'm guessing there is nothing written from Jehovah (aka Governing body) on the subject.
They are just a bunch of modern times "Pharisees".
