Just woke up turn TV on to hear yet another nut case with a gun.
by Still Totally ADD infirst they said 20 dead with 100 injured.
now i just heard 50 dead and 200 injured.
whatever it is it just another nut case who was able to get a high power gun to kill people.

Rhonda LeRocque was at the concert with her husband, Jason, her 6-year-old daughter and her father-in-law, family said. Her father-in-law had just left the concert with Rhonda’s 6-year-old daughter when the shooting started.
According to family, Rhonda was shot in the back of the head.
She and Jason had been married for 20 years after they met at Kingdom Hall, where Jason is a minister.
Members of the family's congregation are traveling to Las Vegas to escort the family and Rhonda's body home.

Annual meetings of the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society of Pennsylvania have been held since January of 1885 - they are now held annually each October - the next one is this coming weekend!!!!
Watchtower January 15, 2001, page 29The Pennsylvania corporation is not the only legal entity used by Jehovah’s Witnesses. There are others. One is the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of New York, Incorporated. It facilitates our work in the United States. Jehovah’s blessing has clearly been upon that corporation, though its directors and officers have been mainly of the “other sheep.” The International Bible Students Association is used in Britain. Other legal entities are used to promote Kingdom interests in other lands.

These will operate along with Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society of Pennsylvania and Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of New York, Inc. Congregations and publishers may receive correspondence from any of these corporations. Your cooperation with these adjustments made by the Governing Body in fulfilling its assignment to care for all the Master’s belongings will be greatly appreciated. - Matt. 24:45-47.
Side note: I believe the above American-based article did NOT appear in all the KMs in other countries - for example in the British edition it was replaced with news that the previously announced (at the June / July 2001 Conventions) possibility of the Britain Branch Bethel being relocated had been CANCELLED.

Redacted summary: The OP was based on a video from a certain vigilante paedophile online hunter group - they pretend to be the under-age recipient of online/mobile phone messages and arrange to meet suspected paedophiles in real-life and then film the encounter and post it onto youtube etc etc.
Towards the end of one such 20-minute long video, the OP thought that the 21 year-old man who was being confronted, appeared to, quite genuinely, confess that they where a JW.
The OP was asking if this man was still a JW.

by mrmagic indue to watchtower flagging the mike & kim videos on youtube for copyright, youtube is giving them 6 days before they are shutting down their entire youtube channel.
can you help with a mass downloading program and then reuploading them on a mirror ?
would hate to lose all those good videos!

AverageJoe1: As to elder's letters (or letters to the congregation), here's my view, for what it's worth: they are not copyrighted. How can you copyright a letter?
It's an interesting question, and one that comes up mostly with letters written by famous people, rather than run-of-the-mill everyday correspondence, but it is the same principle.
FWIW, here's my view....
A letter consists of two distinct things:
1: the physical letter itself, ie. the paper it is written on; and
2: the actual words written on the paper.The recipient of the letter owns the physical letter, and can sell it to someone else.
The actual words of the letter though remain with the writer who retains copyright in the normal way.
In principle it therefore works the same as if you had bought (or had been given) a book or novel.
You can sell the physical book to someone else, but the author still owns (copyright) the words.
