the australian royal commission into child abuse has shown that these enquiries are not toothless and can in fact make a difference, but only if they are empowered by brave individuals like you.. now it's the turn of the uk.
yes, there's been a few false starts but now is the time to tell them what happened.

Details are on The Commission for Children and Young People (Victoria) official website
http://www.ccyp.vic.gov.au/reportableconduct/index.htm
The Reportable Conduct Scheme
From 1 July 2017, the Commission for Children and Young People will administer a ‘reportable conduct scheme’ in Victoria. The scheme will improve oversight of how organisations respond to allegations of child abuse and child-related misconduct by workers and volunteers.
The benefits of the reportable conduct scheme include:
- identifying individuals who pose a risk to children, but do not have criminal records, and enabling them to be excluded from working with children
- independent oversight of responses to allegations of child abuse and child-related misconduct against workers and volunteers in organisations
building the capacity of organisations to respond appropriately and effectively to allegations of child abuse and child-related misconduct
Under the scheme, the Commission for Children and Young People will have the power to:
- monitor organisations’ investigations of abuse or misconduct and report on trends,
- share information with key organisations, such as the Working with Children Check Unit and certain professional registration bodies, to improve child safety,
- inquire into the safety systems of organisations engaged in child-related work, and
- share relevant information to better protect children from the risks of abuse.
The reportable conduct scheme will not interfere with reporting obligations to Victoria Police or with Victoria Police investigations. In all cases, allegations of criminal conduct must be reported to Victoria Police as the first priority.

GERMANY: Man runs away with JW's mobile phone
oops... trying not to laugh... kinda occupational hazard nowadays I suppose... maybe they should use those security cord things like in the shops?
Die Allgäuer Zeitung, Tuesday 1 March 2017, page 25
Man runs away with Jehovah's Witnesses mobile phone
A man took a mobile phone and ran up and away, on which two Jehovah's Witnesses had shown him a video with religious contents on Monday evening in Kempten. The couple had apparently approached the man in the context of an evangelistic mission at the Engelhaldepark. In order to view the video of their organization, the Jehovah's Witnesses handed over the man's mobile phone. He took it - and ran away with it. The phone is about 140 euros (US$147) worth the police determined. For further information, please call 0831 / 9909-2140.

Wish I could edit the title to reflect that this is a UK enquiry.
Actually I understood the one you linked to above is for ENGLAND and WALES.
There is another separate Inquiry for SCOTLAND - which is currently running.
There has also been another Inquiry for NORTHERN IRELAND.
I posted a thread last month that listed the individual Official Inquiries with links to their websites here:

BOLIVIA: Jehovah's Witnesses present translation of the New Testament into Quechua
Also a new Remote Translation Centre for Quechua which apparently has around 9 million native speakers
Jehovah's Witnesses present translation of the New Testament into Quechua
"Diospa Palabran" is the first version of the New Testament of the Bible translated into Bolivian Quechua. This version, which uses a modern and easy to understand language, was presented yesterday after five years of work by 28 Bolivian translators.
The presentation of the Quechua version of the Bible was held yesterday in the Cochabamba pavilion of Feicobol, with the presence of over 3,500 people. For the event came 200 Jehovah's Witnesses from Argentina and another similar number from the city of Santa Cruz.
The religious institution took a first batch of 10,000 copies that will be distributed free of charge to all Quechua speakers who request it. More copies will be printed soon, said the representative of the religious congregation, Nicolas Colque.
The religious explained that in the department there are more than 6,000 Jehovah's Witnesses, of whom more than 2,500 are quechuablantes. Across the country, the number of adherents to this religion total 30,000, of which 6,000 speak Quechua....
The presentation of the first bible in Quechua is the prelude to the official opening of the Quechua Translation Center scheduled for Monday, February 20.
The 28 Bolivian translators are part of an international network of nearly 3,000 volunteers working in print and audiovisual production in approximately 800 languages to support the worldwide biblical education campaign of Jehovah's Witnesses in 237 countries and territories.
Meanwhile, the Quechua Translation Center, which will be inaugurated on Monday, is equipped to produce printed texts, videos and audios in Quechua, as well as translate the programs broadcast by the Jehovah's Witnesses TV channel from New York , U.S.

They were probably due to be setting up at Lime Street Railway Station? - as per my picture.
But now with no trains due to the collapsed wall - as per my link - there probably won't be the same footfall
So they're probably waiting for instructions for where to go and set up instead
They're about a 10 minute walk from Lime Street Station, right??
