  jehovah's witnesses to hand over top-secret manualon friday finland's jehovah's witnesses will give their religious rule book to the minister of justice and the minister of the interior so that it can be inspected to ensure that it's in line with finnish rule of law.

  That way, she will establish that they have all been given the same instructions from the Org, as opposed to one Elder's personal notes being discounted if challenged!

  As I do not have the knowledge, I'm assuming then that the updates are a letter that is READ to the BOE - is that correct?
  And then is that by the CO or the CoBE, or both?

  Has anyone noticed in the NWT book of Psalms, some of them the "S" is left off

  i was at a meeting.

  we were in psalms..i don't know why i was looking at the other books of psalms, & noticed that the"s" was left off of psalms...don't remember what chapters, being i don't have my bible with me now....check it out for yourselves.

  i will come back when i find it myself.

  First Post - Emotionally Torn

  i haven't been on here long but i found this site a couple days ago and quickly realised it had a lot of posts by people going through similar experiences as me.

  i read some of the answers and it helped relieve some inner anguish i've been carrying since everything i came clean to my parents about everything i've been reading about.. .

  i just have been going through a rough patch right now; that might be an under or overstatement depending on your own personal experiences with this kind of stuff.

  I have to agree with you on the point you so wisely picked out: WHY can't you pay attention to outside reports about the organization? (Is it because they have something to hide?... Turns out, YES! That is exactly why!)

  It is amazing how we really are programmed.

  I remember when the program below aired, and I dutifully changed the channel.

  This reporter hates JW's, Fifth Estate hates JW's, blah, blah.

  Finally watched it 2 nights ago.

  McKeown WENT EASY.

  the lawyers acting on behalf of the wtbts/g.b./'mother' during a paedophile case a couple of years ago, have stated on record that - .

  a) "field ministry is not controlled or monitored by the elders, the congregation, or watchtower".

  b) "an individual publisher's field ministry activity, including the time and manner it is carried out, is a personal matter between the publisher and his god.".

  No hour requirement is interesting, especially when you type that into WT Library and the resultant KM results.

  Public preaching not controlled or monitored - must mean an update coming to od book, page 103, pars 1 and 3.

  One thing about this site that bothers me

  the constant references to 'window washers' as something derogatory.. i understand the context of it-that most jws are uneducated, and unqualified to do much more.

  but sometimes the references seem snobbish, almost mean-spirited.

  one poster, on another thread, essentially referred to window washers as 'losers'.

  I, like many JW's, washed windows.

  At the time, it actually paid well.

  One of the smartest JW's I know washed windows and janitored, but he has had a lot of second thoughts for decades.

  He's a regular attender, commenter, etc., but you can tell something eats at him.

  In 2013, almost every Awake had an experience of an accomplished (worldly-speaking) person who accepted the truth.

  What was different than the past is that not one of them up and quit their jobs and started pioneering.

  I was sort of hoping that this would be an indicator that, hey, you can be smart, have an education, and a bit of a life-plan.

  Alas, Tony doesn't seem to agree.

  so, we all remember the old "special needs room request" form from the old district convention arrangement.

  those with accomodations in bigger cities where the district assemblies were being held would provide a room within their homes to house brothers with nominal resources.

  at times, however, where these accomodations were unavailable, the congregation itself would put up the funds to assist brothers with the cost of the room (on the list).

  the article addressed luke 20:34-36 and now they finally admit jesus could have been referring to the heavenly resurrection.

  they said "put simply, the answer is that we cannot say" which is surprising because they have something to say about everything.

  perhaps all the old people who are waiting the new world as widow and widowers want to know if they have a chance to be reunited with their dead loved one.
