Is there a site that has the Watchtowers in pdf going back in time?
Thanks.
wow, it's true - they don't call to 'promote god's kingdom' anymore but just their website!.
we just had an old lady call and tell us that was exactly what they were doing and it has "lots of good things on their for children".
yeah, right ... sparlock?.
Going door to door handing out flyers advertsing a website is the virtual equivalent of sending someone a telegram telling them to look at their text messages.
This is a must watch (the presenter must be a consultant for the current campaign).

This life experience (Mar 1/92 p 27 ) has an interesting quote:
"Often we preached near Beth-Sarim, which was where the ailing president of the Watch Tower Society, Brother Rutherford, had spent the winters before his death in 1942. We visited regularly and had dinner with the full-time servants there. "
How many "full-time servants" were cooks, housekeepers, groundskeepers, chauffeurs - unpaid saps (although undoubtedly a better life there than in Bethel)?

(thanks breakfast of champions).
He's reading from a branch letter - conveniently flopped over to show.
this was one of the things that first got me thinking.
i noticed how in books like "draw close to jehovah" they paint god as a loving, warm, just god who does not desire any to die.
i could not love him at all, let alone with my whole heart.
Deut. 30:15-20 is often referred to - I was always puzzled by it.
"You must choose life."
OR?
How is that a choice?
this is a guess on my part.
the watchtower society is using guerilla tactics to unofficially deal with apostatesthrough back channels.. .

"During World War II the League of Nations had, for all intents and purposes, ceased to function in any practical or meaningful way. However, The Watchtower magazine reckoned on the re-emergence of the League of Nations in a new form, after interpreting the contents of the prophecies in Revelation. Yes — the Watchtower Society was interested in educating the public on the United Nations and how it will play a part in Bible prophecy — even before it was formed!"
i'm seeing tons of comments from sad jws on my facebook feed saying that the beloved golden calf jw.org is offline.. what are you seeing when you try it?
*crosses fingers* i wish it could never ever return.. are they getting too much traffic to support?.
work of hackers?
Damn it...all we have done is added more hits to the website count of "900,000 hits per day" boast they made!
Still an embarrassingly small amount of daily traffic for an org with over 8 million members.
Walmart.ca (Just the Canadian site) receives 400,000 visitors per day.
At one meeting, a family was interviewed, and they check JW site AT LEAST once per day (I used to check it every other day - hardly ever anything new.) I would use wol.jw during every meeting for research.
Add in how many attempts are made to show the site in the new ministry, and, yes, 900,000 is not significant.
However, the number of visitors is up, so maybe this will be the new distraction from the membership numbers.
