Purchase a WBT$ Literature Cart for Field Service..
That way you don`t have to go door to door..
You just stand in a busy area beside your WBT$ Literature Cart and Count Time..
I wonder if you could do homework at the cart and count your time.
for purely informational purposes, i am planning a visit to a local kingdom hall.
it has been years since i've set foot in one and i need to know what the current terminology is so i don't stick out like a sore thumb.

the jw's are quick to tell you that when jehovah has finished kicking the ass of those who do not acknowledge the teachings of the watchtowers governing body in new york state, that those who survive will live forever in a restored paradise on earth.
the same goes for those who are resurrected during the 1000 year reign of jesus and survive satan being let loose "for a little while" at the end.. they are also quick to tell you that everything will be just as it was for adam and eve before the latter decided she needed a fruit fix and then got her hubby high on it as well.. and when you view the illustrations in their publications showing what they view this paradise to be, it shows a world of lush color.
the deep greens of all the trees and grass, the clean blue skies, puffy white clouds and tables covered in a plethora of fresh fruits and vegetables representing just about every major color.
It will be clothing optional.
(Although mandatory for big-mac)

Brooklyn Bethel sold.
North America English mags printed in Canada.
New Elders Manual in 2010.
BIG push for kids to get baptized.
Hard line to DF and slow to reinstate.
You have not been wasting the last 5 years of your life in 3 tract campaigns per year.
this is my first post on here so bear with me.
currently i am still an active jw with serious questions about the jw org.
i was hesitant signing up but really need as much input from the people on this forum to get a clear understanding on things.
4 points made me reflect.
1. Love - or the lackthereof, both in the KH, but also the contempt verbalized to worldly persons, no one or no charity is worthy of being shown help.
2. The waste of time with all the campaigns. Not even knocking at doors - just delivering flyers. Why not just use the Post Office, then?
3. The cruelty, nastiness, and invasiveness of JC's, ESPECIALLY with minors. No scriptural precedent whatsoever. DF'ing is the exact opposite of Corinthians.
The incestuous man was banned from the meetings until he cleaned up his life.
When he did clean up his life, he was welcomed back IMMEDIATELY, with no probation.
(Check the timelines of 1 Corinthians and 2 Corinthians - also factor in all the time needed to write, send and receive 4 letters or reports.
4. The push for child baptism. NEVER happened in the first century.
I began researching these points just using the Bible and "old light."
The good that you refer to is because of Biblical teaching, not the WT.
a pet peeve (major) is that of the gb pressuring kids to be baptized.. checking the aid book today and the following under baptism, no infant baptism.. virtually word for word between the books, except for the deletion of this paragraph:.
"regarding the practice of infant baptism, the encyclopedia britannica, vol.
iii, ed.
When you have 2 teens in the same hall seriously attempt suicide because of power-loving elders getting off on their back-room jollies - time to stand up and be counted!
i thought to give a more comprehensive summary, however this pretty well sums up the entire wasted day.. stand and sing.. prayer thanking the gb.. only jw's will survive "the end".. do more.
preach more.
indoctrinate your children more.
JW's have standards now as set out by the GB to praise God. It won't be any different in the "new world". There will always be standards of conduct, dress and grooming, and where and how to live passed on to the survivors forever through appointed men.
Sounds like my idea of paradise.
okay, so its no secret that many of us are hoping to see the downfall of the wtbts (or at least a mass exodous of jws away from them anyway).
i was wondering if you had any thoughts on what this might look like?.
we all know that most every jw has their doubts, large and small, but is afraid to speak due to the illusion of unanimity and self censorship .
Are they stumbling people?
Then, millstone around the neck and tossed into the sea!

"Regarding the practice of infant baptism, The Encyclopedia Britannica, Vol. III, ed. of 1946, p. 84, states: "The whole early period knows baptism only of adults, who join themselves of their own resolve to the Christian community. Infant baptism appears sporadically towards the end of the second century and indeed practised also during the following centuries, yet only as an exception.""
ONLY of adults.
Jerk-off kid (and family) destroyers.
apparently the .org site is getting 1200 bible study requests per day.
well that's what they claim anyway.
dos anyone think this is true?.
Since the metropolitan and university witnessing booths started, I was impressed with the volume of literature, interested ones, returning ones, other assembly-part-worthy experiences, etc.
However, I kept wondering where all the "bums in the seats" were with all of this hyper-activity.
