JW Child Custody.
by Celestial inupon first glimpse, i thought this was a specialized service of a legitimate law firm, but as it turns out, it's simply a selective presentation of exploitable religious issues enacted by a former elder (william bowen).. http://jwchildcustody.com/ .
dont allow your children to be turned against you!.
statistics show that over 1,000 custody cases are fought each year involving jehovahs witness children.

As for alleged "Watchtower attorneys" in a child custody case, I've never been aware of any legal representation appointed by the Watchtower society to individual congregation members for the purposes of family law. It could be that I've been misinformed.
Yes, you have been misinformed.

Feeling sad over a wasted life in watchtower
by wannaexit init's been 12 years since i first read ray franz's books and the scales came off my eyes.
by that time i was in my forties.. since 2002 i went back to school and have worked with 3 very professional organizations.
but my biological clock is ticking away and while my peers are looking forward to retirement, i am only beginning.

Why does it seem that so many wake up after decades?
Do you think WTS analyzes these numbers?

A Non J-Dub paying a visit to KingDumb Hall!
by J-DUBBED ini was thinking of doing a pop-in visit when they're doing their thing(what ever that might be).
to just see what it is that lures and hooks people, like our son.
i was worried there is some sort of subliminal messages in audio or video that start to brain-wash a person.

It's the love-bombing that hooks new folks. The love that quickly disappears from most JW's once the newbie is baptized.
The only non-born-in that I've seen baptized in a decade was remarkably love-bombed.
I remember all of the old pioneer tricks, have your Bible Student over for meals so you count easy time.
Once dunked, she was abandoned like nuclear waste.
She always looked lost, lonely, and puzzled at the meetings. "Where did the love go?"

I hear you, sister, and I feel the same.
When I see the constant pressure on kids to pioneer right out of school, it makes me sick.
I am intelligent, but completely wasted my life.
Instead of contributing to society, our family has been a leech.
Hopefully, you have at least found employment that is either enjoyable, or, at least tolerable.

Didn't the Governing Body tell us Israel is safe?
by kneehighmiah ini'm sure most people heard about this story that broke yesterday.. http://www.cnn.com/2014/11/19/world/meast/jerusalem-violence/index.html?hpt=hp_t2.
of couse the governing body would never encourage the brothers to go to unsafe areas like detroit or israel.
sadly the brothers would believe it if the governing body told them drinking cyanide was safe.. .

Seriously, if they do believe Israel is safe for the preaching work, what next? Pioneering in Mecca?
Great idea. Next International Convention in Mecca.

Anyone know of df'ing for taking a br. to Court (esp. if Cdn)?
by berrygerry inmost jw's have been told that taking a fellow jw to court is wrong.. the shepherd book uses wts speak: "if an individual ignores god's word on this matter, it may affect his congregation privileges.
" (italics theirs.).
the following are from an interesting case in canada ( link ):.

The Shepherd book uses WTS speak: "If an individual ignores God's Word on this matter, it may affect his congregation privileges." (Italics theirs.)
The following are from an interesting case in Canada ( link ):
[16] Everyone in Canada has a constitutional right of access to Her Majesty’s courts as a litigant or as a witness. The punishment impending here (and imposed against the other litigants in the parallel proceedings) is for doing just that. Public policy dictates weighing that when considering the balance of convenience.
[17] We could say a good deal about this topic. But since this appeal is about a stay and not about the final decision on judicial review, we will be brief. On the right of access to the courts, see B.C. G.E.U. v. A.-G. British Columbia 1988 CanLII 3 (SCC), [1988] 2 S.C.R. 214, 87 N.R. 241, and Crevier v. A.-G. Quebec 1981 CanLII 30 (SCC), [1981] 2 S.C.R. 220 at 236, 38 N.R. 541 (paras. 21-23). On merely threatening or deterring witnesses as criminal contempt, see R. v. Vermette (1983) 1983 ABCA 154 (CanLII), 44 A.R. 253 (paras. 5-11) (C.A.), affd. 1987 CanLII 51 (SCC), [1987] 1 S.C.R. 577, 584, 74 N.R. 221 (para. 10). And see the other cases cited in 3 Stevenson and Côté, Civil Procedure Encyclopedia, pp. 62-44 and 62-45 (2003).
[18] One must also note s. 139(3) of the Criminal Code on obstruction of justice by attempting to dissuade someone from giving evidence, by means of threats.
[19] We must emphasize that the issue here is not merely litigating in some forum topics such as who has jurisdiction, or when proceedings are premature. This is a question of express threats to harm someone for going to court or acting as a witness in court. Or of punishing him for having done so and (partly) won.
[20] This is not judicial review of a jurisdiction decision, still less judicial review of a decision on the merits of an election. It is judicial review of punishment for merely having gone to court. The respondent is going beyond supervising the superior court, which would be upside down. It is emasculating the superior court.
