The Watchtower for March 1, 1925, published this information.

  during one of those meetings that took place before my jc, one of the elders, who was a good friend of mine back then and used to come up with a few outlandish personal views about some teachings, attempted to counter one of my arguments like this:.

  eden - "well, if the truth doesn't change, why is it that what we teach as 'truth' has changed over the years (several examples given)?

  how can we dogmatically claim at any given moment that we have 'the truth' if our teachings keep changing?".

  Still, he never shunned me, never asked me to stop calling him, never asked me to stop coming to see him. For the last 3 years of his life, as he pined away after Mom's death, I called him each and every day and flew into town to see him at least once a month for a day or two.

  Even though I have never been officially DA'd or DF'd, my loving sister yielded to the influence of a certain (still unnamed) relative and decided that I was a de facto apostate and no longer welcome to stay overnight at her house when visiting Dad, or even fit to have meals with.

  I think that these are large factors:

  - are you DF'd or DA'd?

  - are your parents shunning you?

  this is the situation.. ten years ago two fleshly brothers and their wives, [ all are jw's and one is an elder] defrauded an elderly couple [ she was a jw/ he was friendly]out of the possession of their home and property.

  one year after that, they took the life savings of the elderly couple and parked it in an account, without their knowledge.

  when the old couple found out what happened, the four co-conspirators refused to return anything.

  I had to listen to Conquistadore from the same concert, and ended up with a crazy earworm.

  I got to see Procol Harum with Robin Trower open for Hunble Pie with Steve Marriot and Peter Frampton in Canton Ohio.

  Back in the day of Rock and Roll.

  I was shocked that in one of the paragraphs they say JWs should accept every explanation given without questioning because it is from Jehovah.

  Can you point out the paragraph so we don't have to read through the whole load of ... ?
