  the "boasting session" last night included forcing the congregation to watch that stupid witnessing cart video.

  then the brother handling the part discusses what a "powerful witness" is being given each time those carts roll out into public view.. experiences: had a nice conversation with a young man.

  Indeed, whether to pursue supplementary education is a decision that should be weighed carefully. A Christian always bears in mind Jesus’ words at Matthew 6:33: “Keep on, then, seeking first the kingdom and [your heavenly Father’s] righteousness, and all these other things will be added to you.” Among genuine Christians, those without additional education are not looked down upon or treated as inferior, nor are those with extended education ostracized or dismissed as high-minded. The apostle Paul wrote: “Who are you to judge the house servant of another? To his own master he stands or falls. Indeed, he will be made to stand, for Jehovah can make him stand.”—Romans 14:4.
  Jesus reflected this balanced view. He did not despise those who were “unlettered and ordinary,” nor did he hold back from selecting well-educated Paul to accomplish a powerful evangelizing work.   very interesting piece on cbc, especially the brain scans showing anxiety.. like so many dubs, having anxiety and depression seemed "normal" and was blamed on satan and his world.. the reality is that the borg is causing anxiety in so many of its members.. i love brain research where they show the cause and effects via actual scans, instead of the anecdotal bs we've been fed for so long.. a must-see piece for emotional well-being.. http://www.cbc.ca/player/news/id/2665154981/

  the biggest surprise in the flock book was the hiding-for 3-years serious sin absolution provision for elders (if with "jehovah's evident blessing").. the second is the remark regarding an inactive person, and the situation:.

  "is the person willing to meet with a committee, thus admitting accountability to the christian congregation?".

  now, the bible says: i want you to know that the head of every man is the christ; in turn the head of a woman is the man; in turn the head of the christ is god.

  The KS does NOT specifiy 3 years. I will pull the quote and paste but its something about a significant period of time

  There is a subsequent letter to BOE that clarifies what is "more than a few years ago."

  Child abuse would probably not be absolved that simply.

  "evidence of God’s blessing" is not clarified.

  Now, the Bible says: “I want you to know that the head of every man is the Christ; in turn the head of a woman is the man; in turn the head of the Christ is God.” (1 Corinthians 11:3)

  For me, Corinthians is black-and-white - a Christian man's head is Christ - not ANY man. Therefore, no man is "accountable" to a committee (the Christian congregation).
  

  Any thoughts from elders?
