Commenting At The Meetings---Did You Enjoy It?
by minimus inwas that important for you?
most people, i believe, forced themselves to give an answer.
i knew many elders and servants over the years being counseled because they rarely answered.. funny thing....my mom who is 88 cries if she doesn't give a comment.

James Garner is tied with Clint for all-time favourite male actors.
I still remember a dream I had eons ago of racing down an L.A. street a la Rockford.

Ken Little
by expatbrit inhello.. ken little is the canadian branch overseer.
i have met him once (across the lunch table at a circuit assembly).
my immediate reaction was that he is a complete company man, and fulfills his name perfectly.. i should like to know a little (har har) more about him, his background, business dealings, watchtower career, personality.

H-o-r-r-i-b-l-e speaker.
Only met him once - no comment for now.
Wonder if the age limit for COBE's applies to Branch Overseers too - hence his retirement article?

Mormon Discipline For Those Who 'Want To Know'
by Qcmbr inthis is funny and yet so spot on.
i bet this could be substituted almost directly with jw 'loving' discipline.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mpcznoummys.

See, there is choice for cult-seekers.
Alcohol and caffeine users, join JW's.
Abstainers, join these guys.
I wonder if the disciplinary groups network to share ideas.

Do you know any couples?
Maybe talk to them and ask if they would do an activity with you, bowling, pool, etc., and if so, so that you can invite your crush.
If the couple says yes, tell your crush you're going bowling with friends, sounds fun, would she like to go?

CAPTION COMPETITION !
by Focus innathan h. knorr was the third president of the watchtower society.
he was by mentality a clerk, with a fondness for instructing young male brooklyn bethel inductees as to what was the "right handling" of their genitalia.
it goes without saying he was a liar, a fraud, a hypocrite, a swindler, a conman and a thoroughly evil bastard, and let f.franz perpetrate the great 1975 hoax to boost membership, murdering the hopes of millions of elderly victims while so doing.. joseph f. "judge for 4 days" rutherford was the second president of the watchtower society.

Knorr: Did you like my joke in my talk, Judge?
It was good wasn't it, Judge? Huh, wasn't it, wasn't it, Judge?
Rutherford: (Silently - to himself )
Oh man, Knorr the bore.
Whoa, lookey there.
That ain't no damn hank of hair and bag of bones.
I gotta ditch these 2 losers and chat that babe up.
And where's my damn flask?
Covington: (To himself)
Wow, I think that prank with the 'shrooms in the lunch is backfiring.
Far out, my shoes are talking to me and I'm talking back.
Hey, I'm channeling Freddy.

Announcement to print from JW.ORG in service meeting
by suavojr inyes, you read that correctly.
last night during the service meeting, the cobe gave an announcement that we should start printing or using jw.org for any special literature such as the daily text, the yearly calendar, etc... he also mentioned to please cancel any orders of the wt and awake on cds because no one is picking them up and they are piling up.. .
my question is, where did this elder get this info from?

I know 2 of the Elders on the Ray Franz JC
by James Jackson inwhen i read coc, i was stunned that the 2 elders (theotis french & rob dibble) were on ray franz judcial committee.
i have known these men for over 20 years having done rbc and convention work with them.
they are still elders today which means they were in their early 30's(which is unheard of for a case of this importance to have inexperienced elders to sit on) on this committee.. without revealing myself, i have never tried(but have wanted to), ask them about their on having to judge a former gb member.. then out of the blue, about a year ago, i was mentioning how hard it is trying to get younger ones to volunteer to one of these elders, and he says"this is nothing compared to to sitting on the committee that had to disfellowship ray franz".

That is actually a very huge piece of information.
It confirms the talking about the Sept 1981 institution of DA'ing.
The Borg attempting to prevent further revealing of inside info.

New financial arrangement is about ownership of the Kingdom Halls and Assembly Halls
by fedup inwe may believe that the wt is having financial problems because of the sell-off that has been happening lately.
however, i think the opposite.
i believe the gb has realized that in today's world the money is in the properties that the sheepies have already paid or are paying for.

One thing that the WTS does well is plan ahead - there were articles in 2009 preparing for the shift to the GB being the FDS in 2012.
They are preparing something for sure, real estate wise.
As for legal purposes, all corporations try to shelter assets - the WTS is simply playing catchup.

Anyone aware of Int'l Class Action Suits?
by berrygerry inthe wts has such a plethora of lawyers on staff that they do not fear actions from r & f, and are unaccustomed to losing (hence, their disbelief at losing candace conti).. it would be difficult to imagine a class-action lawyer outside of the us initiating a suit (and hard to know if so in the us).. has anyone heard of int'l class-action suits?.
