ARC—What's Next?
by Saename inso as we know, the wt changed very little with regards to how they respond to child sexual abuse allegations.
they basically ignored the australian royal commission's report on how they could improve their policies.
the watchtower is left alone in australia to do as they please, or will there be some kind of follow-up?

I think it will be interesting to see when kingdom halls around Australia suddenly start announcing elder so and so has to step down.
This is real. The gossip machine will be whirling away, at a minimum.
Also, I do not know the class action process in Oz, but given the class actions started in Canada, it is difficult to see it not happen there too.

Door-to-door Going Forward
by berrygerry ini found that the sale (placement) of books and magazines was always a challenge, but it was still attainable.
when the magazines switched from semi-monthly to monthly, magazine calls were automatically cut in half.
return visits that were made "just to say hi" were hugely awkward.. i never participated in the "please watch a video on my tablet" work, but i would imagine that the fail rate compared to magazine placement is massive.. reducing magazine frequency yet again would make me worked up inside.

Would anyone want to do door-to-door in the future?

Interesting conversation with JW friend
by Jules Saturn ini was withh a friend of mine who is a jw still and for whatever reason we started talking the bible.
i asked him about lazarus and how is that when he died he paid the price of sin, but then jesus resurrected him.
and i asked him "where is lazarus today?

However, in the case of Eutychus at Acts 20:9, the ransom had already been paid. So Eutychus, according to God's own law on sin, should still be alive.
Damn. Good one.

I believe the Lazarus' defense is that Jesus hadn't given his ransom yet, so no one was entitled to a perfect resurrection.
But your question is still valid.
If Lazarus paid the penalty of sin, why resurrect him again as being imperfect (WT answer is that that way, Lazarus can be resurrected the next time as a 144,000).

My Book of Bible Stories. Comedy sketch
by usualusername1 inguys.
i am trying to write a stand up comedy sketch on my book of bible stories.. one idea is how the violence, rape have helped me with making decisions as an adult.
another idea is to pretend the book is being released today and attempt to sell the book and stories to the audience.. do you have any ideas?.

https://wol.jw.org/en/wol/d/r1/lp-e/2004885?q=Father+used+to+say+that+we+should+plan+ahead+as+if+Armageddon&p=senFather used to say that we should plan ahead as if Armageddon would not come in our lifetime but lead our life as if it would come tomorrow—precious advice that I have always tried to apply. Balancing patience and eager expectation is not always easy, especially since the ravages of old age now keep me confined at home.

In The True Believer,9 a book on mass movements, Eric Hoffer suggests at least a third of the population are "true believers." They are joiners and followers, people who want to give away their power, looking for answers, meaning, and enlightenment outside themselves. This type of person is "not intent on bolstering and advancing a cherished self, but are those craving to be rid of unwanted self." This type of person is "eternally incomplete and eternally insecure!" and can easily be transformed into fanatics who will gladly work and die for their holy cause whether politics, churches, businesses or social cause groups. Mass movements generally have a charismatic ruler, and a devil. This type of person is unlikely to be reading this site, they don't want to know. Neither am I convinced that this type of person should stop being a Jehovah's Witness. If they do they most likely will become involved in a similar organization that also uses manipulation to force its members into a prescribed way of life.
