My Dad was always sending me in the back to spanked by one of the sisters for my "embarrassing questions". I was considered a trouble maker at 9 years old, because the topics and conclusions didn't make sense to me, so I'd question them, and learned very quickly not to question "Jehovahs Organization".

Godzilla vs Jehovah
by Nosferatu ingodzilla vs jehovah.
1) who do you think would win?.
2) where would the movie be filmed?.
-
maybesbabies
1) Well Godzilla always gets defeated in the end, but he always comes back, so I think the eternal struggle of Jehovah vs. Godzilla would ensue. However, since I like Godzilla better, I'd hope he won!
2)The movie would be filmed in Brooklyn, with screaming Bethelites and everything!
3)The movie would star Ian McKellan as Jehovah, and Rene Russo as his earthly handmaiden, who is always seen screaming in the close up shots. "Jehovah, save us, it's Godzilla!! He's using your name in vain!"
4) The sound track should definitely start out with the Bethelites singing some good ol' dub songs, just before the ceiling crashes down on them and Godzilla shoots his fiery breath on the whole congregation.

Emotional Rant
by MrMoe inon the radio tonight i heard about a child sold for a small color tv into slave labor.

how the hell is that funny?

Moe, I feel ya hun. The feeling of impotence can be overwhelming. This is a messed up world, and it's hard to be just one person. I grew up being homeless with my family from age six to age twelve, and then at various times after my mom died and my dad left me, 15,16, and 21 years old. During those times, I just wanted someone to be nice to me, not give me money (it's easy to get used to going without), but just to talk to me like a Human being. People can be very cruel. When I got on my feet, and was living in Seattle, I used to go down to the waterfront, where they have a large population of homeless people, and just talk to everyone. You wouldn't believe the difference it makes to someone who has lost everything, including self-esteem and the will to live. When I had money, I'd buy a ton of $.99 hamburgers, and just go hand them out and talk, or invite everyone to the park nearby, and have kind of a "party". You couldn't imagine how many times I had someone break down and just hug me and cry, because it felt so good to be doing something "normal", and feeling like a human being again. My point is, it's the little things that count, don't try to take on the whole world, just do what you can, when you can.

I shot the sheriff, but I did not shoot the deputy

Mindchild, I think that some laws which are unjust should be broken/protested. I think there should be laws protecting medical marijuana, and it pisses me off that when states like Oregon passed that law, that the Federal gov.t came in and did everything possible to presecute/prosecute the patients involved. Personally, I think an adult should be free to put whatever they want in their systems. Some will argue "but drug addicts are thieves and murderers", etc., but I disagree. Some are, and some sober people are too, but not all are. I also don't think all drug users are addicts. I don't see anything wrong with smoking pot, for example. Cocaine and heroin derivatives are used medicinally, and yet marijuana is categorized as "having no medicinal or redeeming value", and so listed as a more dangerous drug? But the "war on drugs" is a profitable war, and so it will not end. Take for example the case of a very wealthy Florida man, shot to death by the DEA, and even after he was posthumously exonerated, they still seized his estate, leaving his wife a destitute widow. It just makes me shake my head in wonder.

I think it's one of those "view it with a grain of salt" sites. I don't agree with all their conclusions, but I thought it was funny as hell!
I don't even want to know what God is going to do to those guys.
Same thing as the rest of us, nothing.
