The singularity existed befoe the big bang? Where do you get this?
I think you need to read modern physics not physics of 50 -70 years ago. Quantum mechanics actually explains that the universe came from nothing out of necessity!
glory of creator is that he has given us life and life support systems to enjoy the life to the full.
yet he doesnt want any glory for that nor thanks from ushence he remains away.
that means his life (or style of functioning) is the message (making all communicationoral or written unnecessary).

this is a question a sincere christian may agonize over after learning that some books of the bible were rejected by certain early christian groups, while other books that did not make the canon were accepted.
also, when one realizes that so called inspired writers of the greek scriptures quote from apocrypha, that most christians reject today, one wonders if these writings that include these quotes should even be in the bible.. it is true that when it comes to the christian greek scriptures the canon has been closed for many centuries.
also, these books have been accepted by christians ever since the second, perhaps first, century.
Chris Tann:
I must have misunderstood this line: " It is true that when it comes to the Christian Greek scriptures the canon has been closed for many centuries. Also, these books have been accepted by Christians ever since the second, perhaps first, century. "
BTW Hebrews alluds to 2 Maccabees and Jude to the Book of Enoch and the Apocylapse of Moses. Revelation's comoslogy is based on the Book of Enoch. (The BOE gives a very detailed description of the Jewish Universe)

I need to comment. The orginal post assumes that the 27 books were widely accepted in the second century. BIG FALSEHOOD!
Most of the 27 books were not even known!
The earliest gospel (out of the four) we have evidence for is a piece of John and it is around 125 or so. (could be earlier but not much)
The earliest NT canon did contain a gospel. 'The Gospel of the Lord'. It was a proto-Luke... meaning is predated Luke... when was this? 140....
Also in that concon were 10 so called letters of Paul (Ephesians originally was called ''To the Laodacians' and all of the 'Pauline letters' are proto-letters. Very gnostic. (The Pastorials we have no evidence for until tha very late second century.)
The have no evidence for Matthew Mark or Luke until the mid second century. (Later for Luke) and the referances in Mark 13, Matthew 24, Luke 21 all refer not to 70ce but to the Jewsish revolt in 136ce.
The Didache was originally dated to the early second century and if so that text plus the Gospel to the Hebrews made up some of the material unique to Matthew (As well as oral traditions)
The only exception I could make to this is Revelation. Parts of it are clearly first century but this is one of the most edited books in the NT.
here is the questioned josephus' text :.
now, there was about this time jesus, a wise man, if it be lawful to call him a man, for he was a doer of wonderful worksa teacher of such men as receive the truth with pleasure.
he drew over to him both many of the jews, and many of the gentiles.
The entire paragraph about Jesus breaks his line of thought... it is an early addition. Josephus never wrote any of that.
Read the previous paragraphs and the folowing paragraphs in Antiquties.... the Jesus mention was added likely in the third or fourth century ...
INDEED Joosephus did write about James, the borther of Jesus, who was killed BUT....
The Jesus mentioned is the high priest in Jerusalem....
so what have been your experiences with sleep paralysis?
any connection to astral projection?
this has interested me recently as i used to have sleep paralysis quite often years ago.
I use this all the time.
It's a normal stae the body enters at REM sleep. Waking up in this state while not common is not dangerous at all. However since you main chest muscles are paralyzed it feels as if something is on top of you. Also at this point you are still in REM state even if not asleep. You can hallucinate.
To get out of it I have two recommondations:
1. Keep you eyes closed ... think of a place you want to be.. You might end up there in a lucid dream. This is what I do and I induce sleep paralysis often for lucid dreams.
2. one thing you can control in SP is your breathing. Breathe deeply, then shallow... vary it often... in a few seconds your brain will realize you are awake and end the paralysis.
As for Astral Projection i have not tried it yet... but I have an open mind.

As talesin says Canadian adopted a festival of Americans ... not surprising... borders were quite fluid before 1812...
It's still an ancein harvest festival like almost every culture in temperate zones celebrated...

BTW ot to put down and icon but I think of Christopher Culumbus as in the same catagory as Hitler and Nepoleon... Evern worse in ways...
1. He never set out to prove the world round
2. He spread his viruses up and down the New World.
3. He was a big fool in navigation.
4. He was extremly prideful.
5. He hated native peoples. (He was probably the one that first called then 'Indians' His own delusion.)
)

It's done... I prayed to Jeblooper for the food (Not really lol)
and the non-witness guy made a toast which I accepoted before anyone could say no.. it was to family and friends.
Actually after dinner with local turkey (from a farm a mile away) and local wine (from a vineyard 1/2 mile away from people I know) I checked the origins of Thanksgiving...
It goes back way futher then the USA in the 1600s... CNN places it on Baffin island but I think this is wishful thinking...
I think harvest festivals are very common in every culture (even the Jews have 'Booths') and this is no different a simple harvest festival to eat the first fresh crops.

The tradition is Turkey, Cranberries (Why ? :"P) and Harvest thinga like pumpkins (which will be uses in a few weeks to worship Satan lol)
JWs do not celebrate this BUT they do actually.. In ther store I saw 3-4 JWs I knew buying Turkey.. $30...
Me I work in Poultry proscessig so I got a free turkey... my wife invieted a family... her aunt a JW... and her husband not a JW but a Christian... he belives in Jehiovah... and their daughter... this is fine I like these people...
But are we not acctually celbrating a festival initiated by morons on the East Coast of the USA 400 years ago who could get their brains in their head t farm land... no the native's recused them.. they pariased God when they had harvest.... ... What about the natives?
I don't like this traditions BUT since it is tradition in okay with it...
However my JW wife and her aunt and their family knows not to clebrate this... but we are.
I will pray to Jeblopper for our togetherness ..lol...later.... the Catholic husband likes JWs sadly.
