I have doubts... can you help me??- A new idea

i have been perplexed as to how to brung my wife out of jws and to exit the religion... but i had an idea last night.

i know that elders will legitimantly meet with brothers who have doubts and encourage them... not df them .. this is a sheperding call etc.. thus since my wife knows i have doubt s i could say: i want to have two brother over to discuss this ... she will agree.... of course i will hit these guys with biblical textual issues, an biology to where they are stunned and still ask... "so brothers... can you solve this conflict...?".

in this case they will not think of me as an apostate but may question their own beliefs... .

Crazyguy I was but after advice from here not to I gave up... Also during our moht on vacation we drew closer together as a couple ... from a marriage that was fuctioning to a marriage thriving... so right now I have her trust... I need to replan as such... Now I plan to show the elders this... they will try to confirm all this and help me as their manuel says... but... well they are wrong.... when my wife sees the elders give upI' hoping plan A will work

i have a beard.

i spend a month on vacation with no worry from the congregation overseas of course.

i grew a full beard now and with glasses i finally have posted my picture on facebook og me... next to half life 2 cover showing i look like gordan freeman lol.

5. I want to see the poor moronic elders faces when I walk into the hall with a beard.

Now as a scientific person I feel a beard is n evolutionary leftover but since historically it has served men for milleniia I like it...

The WT has no offical argument aginst beards and elders in Europe have them

What made you turn atheist or agnostic?

if you were a jw and are now an atheist or agnostic, what was the tipping point that made you turn to it?.

the reason i ask is i have noticed that many who leave the jw's seem to turn to atheism, versus still having some form of a faith.

have many of you given up on god first or have you had atheistic views first and then found atheism to be true.

I can answer that.:

1. The bible stories I found out were borrowed from Babylonian and Greek stories

2. ERVs showing a common decent between other great apes and humans

3. Chromosome #2 showing the same as above.

4. Once the above 3 points were in place it was obvious.... we choke on our food, goosebumps, hair on our bodies, male nipples.... No sense if we were disigned.... all explained by evolution.

The mistranslation of John 8.58

john 8.58 is one of those scriptures which translators often mis-translate.. i am aware this text is defended with passion either way by its advocates.

many insist the "i am" rendering found in many versions is correct.

others defend the "i have been" or "i was" readings of other versions.

The translators of the NWT were well aware of this.... they produced the Kingdom Interlinier which proves John * :58 as 'i am'. but on the right hand coloumn the NWT lies.

The Gospel of John makes Jesus the Logos and the light and thus part of YHWH....

How confident are you about various so called facts?

no facts about the world are absolutely certain.

that being the case i wonder how others would rank amd rate their confidence in various factual statements about the world.

i am going to rate my confidence in ten items of "knowledge" as a percentage.

New Bibles on the website

i was going through a few websites and isolating text of the 'deuteronimist history' for my channel on youtube today when i opened a tab to jw.org to see if they had actually dome anything in a few days.

to my surprise up popped the new bibles.. no for many year the only one they had was nwt 1984 and as of 2 years ago the rnwt with audio coming in slowly.

(the guys that do ezra are crap and lett ruins mark) a week or two ago they started adding a study bible starting with matthew.

Mad: I never knew that. I only ever saw the NWT at the Kingdom hall (Except for the library.) I was born in 78 so probably too late

Doug: Friedman tried. He really did. He identified the Yahwist and general duteronomists. I know there are two layers of duteronomist editing. Also Priestly editing finalized it all. I'm working on the earliest version at the moment. (I have already done the Elohist)

The KJV <<< This will give JWS a shock. The New Testament of this version is very different

The ASV<< Yeah the NWT used this as a base test as does the copyright free WEB. I personaly find it 'basic'

The Bible in Living English <<< Okay I will admist I like this one since it was rare and the WBTS used to be the only publisher (They didn;t translate it)

What is the point. They did this already on the JW app along with the Kingdom Interlinier 85. Wont this make serious witness bible students find out the NWT is garbage?
