I don't understand the psyche of JW

the majority have good jobs,drive newer vehicles,have nice homes,go on vacations.all in all they have the smarts.. however,rwhen it comes to their religion,they are dummer than a sack of hammers.they drive around in circles to get two hours of service time.they can't differentiate what the fds/gb say is from jehovah god,when in reality it is the stuff that comes out of a horses ass.what the horse eats(as it were food at the proper time from the gb) comes out of the horse as manure(shit sounds better) as a loving provision from jehovah.. .

Would you convert to a religion for love?

i also bet many convert simply for love.

would you to assist " true love" if it required converting to a particular faith?.

I did, when i meet my wife i was catholic, never really was a strong catholic. She was born in, but never go involved or baptized util much later in life when i though. hey I GOT a great idea...lets get more spiritual........I studied off and on for many many years. in 2008 i decided we needed spirtuality in our family. she would not explore the catholic church...so i was like ok....like i said i never believed the catholic church fully. i asked her

if she wanted to go to main stream christianity and she said no....i was like well lets check out the dubs. started another study and things were going ok. we got baptized a couple of years later, was made an MS a year later....I learned TTATT in Nov 2013 and from that point on I realized I joined a cult.

now, it is pure struggle to go to the meetings or on service . our older son thinks the JW's are full of it and our younger son is realizing it also. they both hate going to out in service and the meetings. i also don't push them either.

this cult has really strained my marriage, and ultimately it will be the destruction of it. I don't know how much longer I could take of it. and the worst part is....she is so asleep to TTATT.

JOINING THIS JW CULT WAS THE WORST MISTAKE I HAVE EVER MADE IN MY LIFE AND MARRIAGE!!!!!!!!! I HATE THIS F#CKING CULT....IT WILL BE THE RUIN OF MY MARRIAGE!!!!!

ex-jehovah's witness bled to death after surgery .

in 2006, riddell signed a declaration that she did not want to be given blood during any medical procedure because of her jehovah's witness beliefs, even if healthcare providers believed that it was necessary to preserve her life.. she later stopped practising the religion but her brother told hill she maintained the declaration because she had researched the use of blood transfusions and made an informed decision not to receive any blood.. riddell opted for the surgery after being diagnosed with symptomatic gallstones, hill said.. parry met with riddell before the surgery but did not discuss receiving blood with her as he told hill the chances of someone bleeding during the surgery were less than one per cent.. that meant the surgery began at wairau hospital at 9am without parry knowing about the declaration, although his anaesthetist did.. it was originally supposed to be a keyhole only surgery, but parry made the decision to go to an open surgery as he could not access the gall bladder through the keyhole technique.. during the surgery there was a small amount of bleeding, which parry was unconcerned about.. the surgery finished at 11.15am and parry went away to perform another surgery.

during that time, riddell's blood pressure dropped and fluids increased.. the anaesthetist visited parry during his surgery and told him "we have a problem, she's bleeding.

My wife said she would not take a transfusion and to let her die......I told her she was selfish and then the argument started. she knows i am against the Borg and am going thru the motions.

I told her I love her more than the BORG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! if she wants to die for the Borg, then let her!!!!!

so i travel alot for business and check into a hotel, start putting away my things and lo and behold in a bureau drawer, find a couple of wt's a couple of awake's and two tracts.

1. throw them in the trash and forget about it.

2. leave them where they lay and forget about it.. 3. leave a note for the housekeeper asking to lay off the cult recruitment.. 4. bring it to the attention of the management, and possibly get the housekeeper fired.. thanks for your input.

the way i look at it is. we came to this life alone and leave alone....what happens in between is what defines our existance.

You see, over the last year i have stepped down as an MS and we moved halls. last November was around the time I woke.

during this time we still have family studies....but only from the bible. Also we don't associate with other witness folk...I feel most of them are to untrust worthy and not real friends.

she then starts accusing me of not being spiritual. I am like huh? I read the bible everyday.

she thinks the only way to be spiritual is by studying the WT and Awake. She thinks this is the food from the FDS.( she is so brain washed)

she said she doesn't respect me anymore spiritually because of this and it is causing us not to grow spiritually. again please keep in mind we still have family studies and go to the meetings. but also we have been missing alot of meetings...but not on my accord. it is her different reasons. which i am more than happy to miss the meetings.

she is not as zealous as she thinks and feels guilty for somekind of make belief idea of what spirituality should be. maybe like the pictures she see's in the WT and awake. you know the kind that isn't reality. (she is soooooo brainwashed)

you see even when i was very active and we went on service, it was always me going to the doors. always me answering at the meetings. now adays She very rarely answers. and I never answer.....nor do the kids.

well anyways she made a comment yesterday that it is because of me that she is not spiritual and i said....we are each individualy accountable for our own spirituality and everyone in the world is at different levels of spirituality and some time we have more and sometimes less.

she didn't agree about this she said it should never change, i was like . ( I truely believe my wife has a very low IQ in this matter)

but the cult has her brainwashed to some kind of who knows what exponential growth we should have spiritually. (did i mention she is so brainwashed)

when i talk with her about the stupid WTBTS it's like talking to a brick wall. she gets in cult mode.

Any ideas how i could handle this situation would be great and ideas to break the cult mind.
