Im ready to leave

i just found this website and im so glad because for the first time in a long time i dont feel alone...i am a born in and in the last two years have been struggling because i thought that i was the problem and i was the reason for not feeling any love from and for the other pubs .i want to leave the org but have no idea how to tell my mother(who is a faithful jw).

One year of being free

one year ago, this thursday, i went to work as usual.

i got home, ate dinner, got myself dressed for the meeting, and helped my kids get ready like i usually did.. my son had a talk that evening, his second one.

many of my family went to support him.

well another big bad elder here just wanting to say sorry.. i'm sorry that so many were treated like crap, and shown that god's love is not to be found around jehovah's witnesses.

i'm sorry that inadvertently i've likely taught many to judge and as such see that racism permeates every corner of the jw world, else why else would someone be of the world, or even inactive.

So one of the elders kids told my son she is not going to college, but will pioneer. my son told her he is going to college.

i have told this elder that our kids are going to college. both me and my wife agree on this.

i explained to my son that in order to live a comfortable life, you need an education.....i also explain to him that what he hears at the meetings are lies and that he need to reason for him self that if what they are saying makes sense.

i could go on and on. i just wanted to share this with you all.

i hate this cult....worst mistake i ever made in my life.

israel...i saw your video on jwstruggle and i am glad things are working out slowly.

my wife also know how i feel about the cult. i have become apathetic....i just don't care

about organized religion. I still believe in Jesus and believe he is my savior and my LORD.

i still go to the meetings with her sometimes and she doesn't go has often has she thinks she

should. but, she is not has spiritual has she thinks.

i truely hate this cult and wish she would open her eyes...but, no chance. she refuses to

see it for what it is.

we used to be so close before she got heavily involved in the jw religion.

she actually got me into it (i actually believed all the nonsense) and i went to meetings with her and everything, we were like brother and sister.

she lives in texas now in a remote area where their is no cell phone signal or anything with her dad and mom (i think they said they moved their to get closer to jehovah which is weird).
