Baby steps taken with a grain of salt
by Israel Ricky Gonzales inseeing how my jw wife nearly lost it when i woke up to ttatt and was df'd just over a year ago, she has been showing cracks in her armor.. 1. she has stopped pioneering to resume her good-paying career, working full-time.. 2. she suggested marriage counseling.. 3. she suggested going to a latin rap concert at a casino for our anniversary.. 4. when we reconciled recently and began living together as a family again, she agreed to alternate weeks of jw activity with the kids, one week doing the jw thing with her and the next week not doing the jw thing with me .
5. she hasn't had perfect attendance at meetings or for field service since she started working full-time.
just last night, she skipped meeting to help co-workers prepare food for an employee appreciation luncheon held today.

That is great news!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yep, take it slow.....it might be a little thing that breaks the camels back.
has long has you are together has man and wife....thats all that matters.
one thing i would recommend......don't try and reason with her about anything in dub land. like missing a meeting or being late and stuff like that.
let her reason for herself. in all reality Ricky, she is fighting her own battle right now in her mind and heart.

HI John,
he stated that it was the 15th they have files. so what i gather from that comment is, this is just from his firm. that is huge for one firm to have 15 lawsuits against the cult.
imagine all the other firms who are handeling lawsuits agains JW's. Imagine how many more victims are now getting courage to speak because of the these lawsuits and the ARC.
I have two wishes from these lawsuits:
1. More and more people awake from the cult
2. my wife wakes from the cult.
i truely despise the cult!!!!!!!!!

Wife Equates Having A Good Marriage With Being "Spiritual"
by JW_Rogue inso i've noticed lately that my wife seems to think that in order to have a good marriage both people must be "spiritual".
she thinks being close as a family is all about family worship night, field service and praying together.
i know where these ideas are coming from but it is very hard to combat them.

What woke you up?
by Israel Ricky Gonzales inin march of 2014, i was a very active jw, a ministerial servant, gave a public talk, was an attendant for the memorial, and one of 4 cleaning captains for an international convention of 40,000+ attendees.
so what woke me up?
an innocent comment from a co-worker about the candice conti court case rang a bell that could not be unrung.

Hi Ricky,
i have not been in the org for long...my eyes were open shortly after i got baptized. here is the flow that lead to my eyes opening.
1. became an MS and soon after took over books. i realized how much money is coming in and where is it all going
2. had a short bible study with a real christian and presented the B.I.T.E model to me, not really understiand it yet.
3. Faithful and discreet slave going from 144,000 to 7 in the summer of 2013. I was like WTF.
4. A former elder, who is still a dub. asked me...why is the partaking number going up? I am not sure why he asked, but it made me think. I still wonder if he is awake to ttatt.
5. Generation change to overlapping generation. I thought, this is BS....i asked an elder to explain it and fumbled on his explination. i was like..this is B.S.
6. Now the nail on the lid. Nov 2013 watchtower...where they said to follow with out asking questions, even it is doesn't sound like a good idea from a human stand point. WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can you say Jim Jones!!!
7. from that point i knew i had to get out.
8. i did research on how to step down has an MS and found this website. i have read so much stuff and gotten so much support. i was able to change halls and step down and fading. my wifes eyes are still closed...she knows how i feel. we get along good on everything expect for anything JW.
I despise this cult and wish it would just go away.
