I agree with what you are saying GND. But, her bag looks like something will last her maybe a day or a day and a half. in her mind the org will provide for her if something happens, i guess take her in at a meet up location and give her every thing she needs. to me this unrealistic and the BORG knows nothing is going to happen, it's another way they play on the sheeples emotions.

question about the go bags.
by goingthruthemotions inits been a minute since posting, have been trying to put this cult in my review mirror and just live life.
but you know this beast rears it's evil head.
my wife found my crisis of conscience book and out came the horns plus i guess what she is hearing at the meetings isn't helping either.

Hello All,
its been a minute since posting, have been trying to put this cult in my review mirror and just live life. but you know this beast rears it's evil head. my wife found my crisis of conscience book and out came the horns plus i guess what she is hearing at the meetings isn't helping either. she so so so PIMI, it's disgusting.
so any ways, i am in our room and notice at the foot of the bed a backpack. first thought was, well she has had enough and is leaving. i looked in it and it looks like a go bag. you know....the kind this cult tells the sheeple to have.
my question is, are they pushing Armageddon harder or the great tribulation harder than in the past. she has told me of late that she is ready to go and will leave the family when they tell her to leave.
what a disgusting cult. so anyways.....any PIMO who could shed light on this.

Did your children help you wake up?
by Zyron inwhat help me wake up, (still pimo) in addition to lingering doubts throughout most of my life, and i'm in my late 50s, was the questioning from my children when they became teenagers.
i could not honestly defend the origins of the jws, prohibition of birthdays and other celebrations; especially when you realise that the whole belief system is/was based on crazy teachings of a businessman.. the real kicker is when you have a religion that has to produce its own bible to support its beliefs, that's when i knew the whole religion is an expensive and cleverly marketed belief system.
like most religions.. glad to say none of my children want anything to do with jws and two of them don't believe in god.

in 2013 our older son started my waking up. he told me he didn't believe that everyone except the jw's would killed at the big A.
along with that and knowing for a fact that i would never shun or abandon my kids or wife for a cult. along with the multiple events of other things, i realized i need to get out of the cult.
it has not been easy, my wife is a fanatic PIMI..we are still married and some days are better than others, i just hope and pray she will wake one day.

By there fruits: The JW's very rarely encourage forgiveness
by goingthruthemotions inby there fruits you can tell a true christian.
well if this is the case, then if you are not blind it is easy to see that the witnesses truly not what they present themselves as.
my wife is a testament to this characteristic.

Thanks All for you comments,
i do believe she has a lot of traits of a Narcissist, she has always been an unattached person. Which i do believe is a thing that is instilled in the JDUBS that are born in. that's why most born in can't break away. the ones that do are in touch with their authentic person.
Right now i am seeing my marriage slowly crumble. all because i choose not to follow a religion. and all the while she acts like it no big deal. just another thing. 28 years down the drain, due to a cult i choose not to follow.
Thanks JW. ORG for destroying my marriage.

my feeling is that she was never taught sympathy, i have mentioned to her about the child abuse and she blows it off. i get pissed and tell her to think about the innocent victims. she doesn't have the ability to put herself in other peoples positions.
i am convinced this is a JW characteristic resulting from the control they have over there followers and the persecution complex that is ingrained. because if you are being persecuted, there is no reason to apologize.

My wife is a testament to this characteristic. over the amount of time we have been together which is very close to 30 years, i could count on one hand how many times she has said she was sorry and said she forgave me or someone else for something.
thinking about this, i realized that 99% of there teaching are about loyalty to the org. You could also she this in how easy it is for the sheeple to turn face and shun or cut someone off without batting a eyelash.
thanks JW. ORG for ruining my marriage and family

What Made You Decide To Finally Leave The Organization?
by minimus inwas there one certain event or was it more a cumulative thing?.

I wasn't in long with this cult..I started to study in 08, got what you would call baptized in 2010 ( i know consider that baptism as false and i don't consider myself as being baptized) any ways. moved up fast, became a ministerial servant in months time, then account servant. (this was eye opening, i realized how much money they make, but yet keep asking for more...and saw people who could not afford to donate, but would donate a nice amount) I was like WTF.
in the summer of 2013 they changed the faithful slave to just the 7 dwarfs. ( this made me lift an eyebrow as to WTF) and then in November 2013 they came out with the follow us speech even if it sounds illogical and that's when I said i am OUT!!.
I stepped down as MS. I faded, but not without consequence. it has destroyed my marriage!!!! our sons don't go. our older son is a freshman in college, younger one will go to college and has trained MMA since he was 6, he is now 13 and amazing kid and fighter. could easily turn pro. but i encourage college first than fighting. they have seen how this cult of a religion has destroyed there family.
i don't ever see my wife stopping, i am not sure how long the marriage will last. but, it will only survive if she awakes from the control and i don't see that happening. so I guess our days are numbered . i have shared so much TTATT with her that it would make your mind explode. I don't say anything anymore and am just going through the motions.
thanks JW. ORG for ruining my family and marriage.

Strange
by Jrjw ina couple of times at the meetings this year we've been told that in the future we might get some strange directions from the society that might not make any sense to us.
then they've said will we show our loyalty to jehovah by still obeying?
seems a rather unusual thing to say.

kinda makes sense, my wife who is very PIMI said something similar to that the other day. kinda like saying they will get direction sooner than later on what to do. she is willing to leave me and our sons. since me and the boys don't go, we are toast.
she also said she would drink the kool-aid if they asked her too. how f'ed up is this.

quick question: Do JW's become U.S. Citizens?
by goingthruthemotions inso i know a person that just became a u.s. citizen.
he was explaining to me all the testing he had to go through and how he had to pledge allegiance to the united states.
he was happy as a barrel of monkeys.. so i got to thinking.

So i got to thinking. So how in the world do PIMI or PIMO dubs who want to become legal citizens get around this without getting DF'd? to my knowledge i have never heard of a dub becoming a legal citizen. so i am assuming they are all illegal .
i am going to call the la migra!!!
down with the tower!!!!!!!!!!!

Stop harassing jws
by pomo6780 inwe want people to learn ttatt.
we have numerous resources online to draw jws in so that they will wake up.
however, i've noted some radical methods that have been used by fellow exjws, and quite frankly, this must stop.

So..... its OK for them to destroy families, shun people they say they once loved, Molest children. But, they can't have a dose of there own medicine? Really, they shouldn't throw stones if they live in glass houses.
I have seen many cart videos, what is the first thing these cockroaches do? call the police, as if there first amendment rights are more import than anyone else.
what about the rights of the people who leave this cult, who are suffering from shunning, who's families have been destroyed by this cult and survivors of molestation? the first amendment is for all.
they get what they deserve, sometimes you have to hold a hand to the fire to help someone learn what the results are of the action.
