Well, I didn't mean this thread to become a debate about the existence of god, but in hindsight I suppose that's sorta what happens any time you point out the logical inconsistencies in any "christian" (quotes because JWs aren't quite christians) religions reasoning for trusting the bible. The main issue for me was just that they can't seem to get through a single chapter or study article without employing glaring fallacy.
In any event, I certainly fail to see how someone can say that it was OK for the isrealites to murder children in order to keep their parents from sacrificing them to their god. I also can't understand how someone could feel that the isrealites were justified when they killed for god, but condemn muslims for doing exactly the same.
