  The people who write Watchtower articles - what do you know about them?

  i don't know if this topic has been discussed before, but i have some questions about how witnesses get to write articles in the watchtower.. while reading a few of maximums' posts from 2 years ago, there was one from barbara anderson who briefly described the internal politics between the editors of the awake and the editors of the watchtower.. i'm more interested in the watchtower writers though than the awake, as this is supposed to be the "spiritual food" we are all to take in and absorb.. so how does one get to be a watchtower writer?

  do you have to be able to write well?.

  what are your experiences with any writers you have met?

  Like I think,,, you are,,,a very kind,,, person,,, and thats why you can see the OT jehovah,, is not really and truley kind,, because you are kind,, and you can see it so clearly,, and so you put that together in your head. At least that's what I think you did???

  my friends and daughters say that i am more relaxed and i seem happier in my own skin.

  which is just great, but when i first started reading stuff here i was a quivering mess, i was in shock, but spending more time researching things are now slotting into place.. .

  Simon,

  This is a good sorce for helping people mend. And so I would like to thank you for being as leanant,, as possible IMO, ,,it takes a lot of patients to deal with us all being so different,, and yet,,, so the same,,, and the work he has put into it over the years. I don't know if I would be able to do it,, I would find it very hard to be such a gracious host.

  Abortion, and the population explosion, what your veiw.

  one of the very real dangers that we face today is the population explosion.

  i read that the world's population "now" doubles about every 40 years,

  this explosive rate is like cancer,, that no longer follows the proper cell multiplication arrangement in the body and threatens the life of the organism.

  I think that abortion is something that if it is necesarry, because of what ever reasons it should be preformed as soon as possible, so as to minimize risk to the mother.

  I aslo,, don't see abortion as sinful,, because if it was a sin against some supreme creator he wouldn't allow it to happen naturally in the first place,, as it does so often. To me he might as well get mad at himself because that is part of life.

  I don't feel that one should be casual about ending a potential life, unless one is a doctor or nurse that preforms abortions to help these poor women in kindness. And hopefully they will be alot more careful so they never have to get another one.

  Shiela, I feel,,,you have "real" concern for all people.

  You maybe right, we may not "have" to find "it",,this is just another concept that It has to exist or maybe it is the other way around,,,,"It",, may "have" to find us,, or maybe the mystery never ends,, because it is infinite!!!

  I agree,, with you,, I can not prove that you are right,, but deep down inside,,, I feel intuitively,,, you are right.

  We have no proof,, but our own senses(((5 or perhap more if we develope them or become aware of them))) that the world is what it is,, but this can never be considered positive proof,, only relative,,, which means it is faulty.

  I agree the the only thing we can vouch for is our own consciousness and even that can become suspect.

  Isnt it wonderful to be able to express how you feel !!!?? Freedom to use your brains( how ever you want to use them) ??

  Yes such freedom is precious, but don't thank the mythological jehovah(or god of the bible) for it, because if it were up to him he'd have us all killed for any slights we might make towards him. According to the OT he can be very touchy about these things.

  I dont worship Jehovah.... ! !But if it gives you pleasure to blast off about this god Jehovah >go for it....!!

  Myself!! I worship & pray to Jesus!!!! Some call him Jehovah! some call him Father, Son of God,

  Like my father used to say, you can call me anything,,, but don't call me late for supper.

  Actually I like,, very much,, your type of Christian,, for you seem so reasonble,, and non-dogmatic,, I could only wish that every christian was like you and Little Toe,, for I think this world would be so much the better if this were true, but that is just my opinion.

  I should be boiled in oil,, if I ever should throw a brick at you,, for you remind me of my dear mother,, as I am sure many feel this way about you.

  Please don't take my threads as anything stemming from hatred,, but rather that I'm trying to free people from fear of this cruel selfcentered god who has been used to scare the bejesus out of people for thousands of years.

  We can be good simply for the sake of goodness without the threat of some god to scare us into being good.
