  Take it easy on yourself. My wife whom I live with and have a great life with will not listen to common sense regarding this cult. This indoctrination runs so deep. You have ZERO chance at convincing most dubs. Especially if u r dealing with elders. In my case I have learned to slow down and play the long game.

  with satan's media and satan's internet the odds seem to be in his favor,while jehovah's earthly organization with all these multi-million dollar lawsuits waiting to be settled in or out of court it.. it seems that satan's multi-organization can claim the high moral ground while jehovah's earthly organization is left holding the bag full(in the thousands 23,000?

  ) of anonymous child molesters just waiting for another victim and more lawsuits in the making.

  looks like a victory for satan demoting jehovah's organization to the shit can file of ancient history.. for a hundred years it looked like jehovah's organization was going to keep going strong then jehovah caused so many wrong dates for when the end of the world was coming and now with the invention of the internet where these big problems with jehovah can be aired in public seems to cast a spell of doom over jehovah causing him to hate to see tight pants on men and women and child like wizard toys and deaf people mastering the art of baiting ..

  whats wrong with discussing the possibility? In the past when people got DFed they usually were still indoctrinated. That's no longer true. These ones now learn TTATT which changes everything. The Internet is the great equalizer. It may not end the Borg but you better believe that it will bloody it up real good.

  yes, today is the forum's 15th birthday!.

  i never thought for one moment that it would survive this long or have so many people post so many great subjects over the years.. it is still humbling when i get pm's or emails from people expressing how the site has helped them and of course thanks goes to all the posters who have shared their experiences and make helpful and supportive comments to others who are in the sometimes difficult process of learning the real truth about 'the truth'.. the site has gone through several different incarnations over the last 15 years running on different platforms, different databases and different hosts but we've been able to keep all the old topics.

  the current site is still being developed and i'm hoping to push another major upgrade soon.. i also may have some other news to share soon about the future of the site so stay posted.. until then, here's the the next 15 years!

  How is Joe Publisher reacting to all the TV coverage on the abuse cases?

  i have had virtually no contact with any witnesses beside my mother for the past few years.

  she watches tv constantly and claims she has never seen anything on the watchtower abuse cases.

  My mom sent me a text with a story about conti attached so she knows a little bit.

  Out in service one day a sister mentioned the pbs story. I enjoyed the conversation. CD at its best.

  Assembly Assessment increased 300%

  while at the assembly, when reading the financial statement, i noticed our expenses went from $2500 to almost $9500 so i questioned an elder and said that the assessment per publisher is at $10.50 for all in the us branch territory.. he added this helps the society know how much is coming in and helps them plan out future projects!.

  Our last 1 day our cost was 24k (we r a large circuit). So the 10.50 per pub figure sounds about right. I doubt they brought in that much. Our assembly is next weekend and I am so looking forward to the accounts report.
