Heavens gate!
that eyebrow is giving me nightmare! It's creepy when it start to moves...
the october watchtower 2014 is now up on jw org.
regarding the new covenant they write.
the governing body sets the scene in the first article by stating how they are like jesus and as humans they are sinless in god's eyes.. then on page 24 they state this.
Eph 4:14-NLT
Then we will no longer be immature like children. We won’t be tossed and blown about by every wind of new teaching. We will not be influenced when people try to trick us with lies so clever they sound like the truth.
Jah does not change or needs readjustment. Winds of change comes from the Devil who keeps transforming (read changing) into angel of light.
Wake up my bros n sis who are still in!
a lot of us have said that theres been a dumbing down in jw land.
its just not like it used to be especially a few decades ago.
it seems to me that if jw are right and the end of the world is near, the spiritual food should get tastier and more nourishing as time goes on, but it's getting more and more bland and less nourishing.
Ed Dunlop is an intelligent brother. My wife studied Commentary on Letter of James when she is a Bible Study and she still love the book. I studied the PE book and now some of the "Truth" had changed. We wasted so much time in this religion And are glad we woke up by the grace of God. Have you read the recent WT articles? It is obviously dumbing down. i used to call it spiritual junk food. It does not lift your spirit but makes you guilty and depressed by over emphasize on works, demonizing education, bashing other people religion, self righteous exaltation.....we just can't feed on these crap anymore. Reading the bible is 100 times more refreshing. It truly is. Avoid NWT. We used NLT and God's word is made so clear. We love it.
it really is pretty sad that the gb and their "fair-haired-boys" cannot get their stories straight even from one day to the next.. friday, while touting the greatness of jw.org the rc speaker bragged about the web site being translated into over 400 languages.
on saturday splane bragged about it being translated in 369 languages.
while that is close to 400 it surely isn't over 400.. then yesterday one of the speakers said, "the mormon church is investing on internet web site outreach.
Hang on. Ay least you can surf the web n read more encouraging bible articles a
such as Jwfacts, or jw survey. One that I discover recently is http://meletivivlon.com
the insightful articles helps us to build faith in the Bible.
"did god really say that you must not eat from every tree of the garden?
" with those words, satan the devil became the first troll.
(gen. 3:1) what is trolling?
are you in the Watchtower writing department? Your prose is Watchtower style. Excellent!
for me, that happy day was in morro bay, calif. it was the fall, oct 1958 or 9. gorgeous weather.
the sun was shining and the wind was coming off of the ocean.. at that time, morro bay was unassigned territory.. talesin on another thread was talking about a lovely day she had, going with her grandfather, talking with a mr languages.
lol.
20 yrs of FS. I can't think of any good or nice day. Really!
someone suggested i post an introductory thread.
i am a married, rather young grandma of four precious rugrats, ages 2-9. i guess our only child son and his only child wife didn't want their own kids to be "onlies".
my other half and i married rather young (18 &22) and will be celebrating 31 years together this summer.. i am sort of add, keep thinking i am still 28, love my husband now more than ever, and am so glad i woke up and left the crazy cult.. my husband and i began studying months after marrying and then decided to take the dunk.
Once I took the blinders off, I saw the world was not awful. People are basically kind. For all the bad in the world ... there is just as much good.
it is so true. We can testify to this statement. Life is short. Make good use of it by using all our talents for the greater good. If there is a God, he will be happy N proud of you.
i use to hate when people who made goodbye posts on message boards.
why would they think that just because you no longer post on a chevy truck forum or a los angeles lakers forum the world would crumble around those still left there.
this place is definitely different.
Congrats on being finally able to let go. It will take a while before we can finally recover from the years of mental torture n being exploited n lied to. We are on our way to recovery and so far, life outside the tower has been Awesome!
they key to free yourself from the organization is having mental clarity of what is happening in relation to the watchtower, inside and out.
their basic concept is that they are god's sole organization on earth.
there really is no basis for anyone to make that statement.
We love the Truth. Thatwas what attracts us to be a JW. This involves many sacrifices of time and missed opportunities, money...etc.
there are perks such as friends, outings and association. However, lately, the truth does not feels too right. Something is wrong but we can,t point a finger to it. We felt like in the Matrix. Occasionally we experience glitches where it tells us something is seriously wrong. upon Examining the history of the Watchtower, reading the old publications, Bible study, prayer, reading COC, Jwfacts , jw survey, behavoirs of over zealous and extremely judge mental brothers n sisters,....all in all these took about 1.5 years, finally we woke up. It's a terribly feeling. We felt we have been deceived and conned By some brilliant mind control techniques! Then we slowly felt the peace and freedom that Jesus spoke about at Jn 8:32. That feeling is awesome! we eventually DA after a 3 mths of inactivity. We explained our absence and reasons of our departure via a blog at www.jnwh.wordpress.com.
therefore the Key for us to free the Tower is love of the real Truth! We finally found it and we also found freedom, happiness and peace along with it.
i will give you a hint.
1) jar of bread 2) stick 3) two stones.. and why were they placed in the ark of the covennant????.
i'm embarrassed to say, as a former elder, schooled by the.
