by Crazyguy ini watched a documentary last night where they found old bones and spear heads in mexico.
this work was originally started in the 60s but they went back over the decades.

Just how "are two non-scientists creationists making standard anti-science and disproved creationist claims" in this video/documentary? -

Science in general does seek knowledge and rewards those who discover it. However many corporations, and institutions hold the financial reigns of science and scientist. This can be and sometimes is to the detriment of progress in a given direction. Much of science is driven by the military or powerful corporations with those agendas satisfied first and foremost then the public receives benefits in a trickle down manner. Profits almost always supersede benefits.
Don't get me wrong, I love science, it is just that to think it can't also be tampered with by those with power is being naive. Ultimately truth wins out but sometimes it can take decades or more. The above documentary is some proof of that IMHO. I prefer to examine the message on not the messenger. To condemn the information on the basis of an ad hominem attack of the writers/directors could allow one to miss some very interesting facts.

I have watch this video several times and find it very interesting. The problem with dating methods is the wide margin between minimum and maximum ages. The use of diatom dating to me seems to be the most sensible and gives a minimum date of 80k for this site. The date of 400k is a maximum date derived from the dating method that measures daughter properties of uranium decay involving hydrogen atoms.
It shouldn't surprise us that information and even facts can be suppressed by powerful institutions for their own agendas, protecting their "status quo" so to speak. After all, haven't most of us have experienced that to some degree in our own lives?
As far as the Brahmic Veda connection, at least it was no where mention in the film and I doubt that can be tied to any of the original archaeologist at the site as a motive for their work. One thing for sure is that this site has been shut down by powerful entities who are not concerned about the story these artifacts tell.
Even at original dates of 20k for the artifacts (60's scientific technology) flies in the face of mankind being only 6k old.

Is this proof that the flood was regional?
by silent ini stumbled across a scripture today.
it's numbers 13:33 "and there we saw the nephilim, the sons of anak, who are from the nephilim, and in comparison we seemed like grasshoppers, both to us and to them.. now if they honestly believed that they saw the nephilim, it would mean that some nephilim would have had to survive the flood or that the hijinks of the fallen angels before the flood, happened again shortly thereafter.
the only other thing i can come up with is that nephilim was some kind of generic word that implied giant proportions, but not necessarily the nephilim.. comments from the more educated appreciated.. silent.

Nephilim, Anakim or giants still exist.

Question related to the digestive tract of carnivores
by geevee ini was raised as a jw from about the age of 2, my parents were baptized when i was 5 years old.. i always liked the thought in the song about a young boy leading all of these once viscous animals, that are now tame.... in some of the reading i have done, the digestive tracts of carnivores..meat eaters has a highly acidic stomach, with a short small intestine and a short large intestine [bowel].
a lot of apes are frugivores [fruit eaters] less acid, long small intestine and longer bowel.
the question: did god recreate these animals [carnivores] and change their digestive tracts after the noachian flood so that they could eat meat [other creatures] as the jw's believe that these animals only ate straw [herbivores] before the flood and that he will restore their original herbivore digestive tract after armageddon?.

My dad was telling my little brother (about 8) how the animals in paradise will not eat each other. After looking up at the ceiling for a few seconds he asked, what are the buzzards going to eat? -

JW.ORG TRAFFIC WORTH
by @ROOT ini looked up the estimated revenue of jw.org using http://www.siteworthtraffic.com/ and was shocked at the results.
not only are they saving money on printing psychical books/magazines, but they're also making a tidy sum romtheir "free" website created and maintained by volunteers.
i spoke with a jw recently who was very proud to tell me just how good their website was and that they provided it free of charge.

Their site is not monetized so does not create money directly. However not only does it save money on printing their content in magazines etc. I,m sure it motivates visitors to donate at their local KH. I noticed the monthly unique visitors is a little over 7M... about the same as their membership. -

Why were no sea creatures destroyed in the flood?
by smiddy inall the animals on earth were destroyed in the flood of noahs day apart from those in the ark ,apparently no sea creatures were destroyed in the flood , why is that ?.
this is not an issue that only affects jehovahs witnesses , it is one that affects all beleivers that accept the bible as gods word.. obviously sea creatures were not put on the ark , no whales ,no dolphins , no fish , no krill , no plankton etc.
you can fill in the rest .. so my question is , why were land animals / birds singled out for destruction ?, what wrong did they do to deserve this judgement against them .

I could think of dozens of scientific reasons Noah's flood should be taken with a grain of salt. One that has always convinced me is the world wide coral reefs. They start at 5k to 10k years old and some are as old as 50m years http://coralreef.noaa.gov/aboutcorals/coral101/polypcolony/. They survive in a narrow environment of depth, temperature, and salinity. Any minor change in any one of these three components would have wiped them out.

About the ten plagues in Egypt
by runForever inalot of people are saying god is cruel for killing the firstborns and animals and people in the ten plagues.

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.
Moses claimed to represent the God of Israel. He provided (according to the account) extraordinary evidence to back that claim that all could see.
This seems to be the case in most biblical accounts for leaders of God's people.
Wouldn't it be nice if it was that easy today?
It would be nice if proof could be provided without someone or something suffering or having to be killed.
Because of that very reason me thinks Bible is made mostly of stories to be taken with a grain of salt.
More figurative than literal.
