Were these just condemnations of the Zionist agenda , does anyone know ? - Corbyn, the Labour leader, has never said he hates Jews or that Jews are inferior, or whatever. So - on the surface at least - he doesn't seem to be anti-Semitic.
Where I take issue with him is his blatant double standards. He's been highly critical of Israel (the world's only Jewish state) throughout his long political career. During that time, he hasn't really criticised the barbaric regimes that surround Israel. It could be argued he's anti-Semitic on this basis; a kind of subtle anti-Semitism.
There was a ceremony in Tunisia for the dead Palestinian terrorists who shot the Israeli athletes in the 1970s Olympics (sorry, can't remember which year). Jeremy Corbyn was in attendance in Tunisia, laying a wreath ... er, in the name of 'peace', you understand.
Another issue is that Labour courts the British Muslim vote ... and there are some full-on anti-Semites among British Muslims.

Criticism of the Israeli government doesn't mean somebody is anti-Semitic.
However, if they hold Israel to higher standards than the surrounding countries, well then you start to wonder ...

i don't normally bother with the gutter press, but this was interesting.. what they didn't show was that the faces of the kids, probably due to their age.. i saw the picture before it was pixelled out.
interesting that the kids with the machettes looked like members of the religion of peace.. just sayin'.. interesting to see what low life scum the film was about.. good grief, can't the jobos be right and armageddon(tm) come?.

What is noteworthy is that the film being screened, Blue story, has been pulled from cinemas.
Sorry, but these violent, machete-wielding youths were already violent and machete-wielding.
Whether Blue Story was shown or even made makes no difference.
(I love horror films but I don't go around acting out scenes from my favourite horror films.)
It's also wrong that these gangstas get the film pulled - what about the rest of us who want to see it?

a large shop front with big glass windows,posters in the windows saying "start your free bible study today" (or something along those lines.

They are Still preaching against careers!

it seems the religion is still knocking full time jobs/careers and saving for retirement.. you would think at this point in time - after thousands of bethelites were sent home; many thousands of rank & file jws are at or near retirement age with no preparation - that the religion would change its tune, but no.
they are still stubbornly sticking to their guns on this issue.. i’m sorry for any young jws who listen to this.. i’m just glad i never followed their advice and certainly would not want to be in any congregation surrounded by these desperate people!.

They are still stubbornly sticking to their guns on this issue - we're dealing with a religion that thinks all its members - including children - should refuse blood transfusions in life-threatening situations. Remember, too, that this religion's official policy is not to report (or encourage parents to report) allegations of child abuse unless the state explicitly requires it.
JWs aren't reasonable people, that much is clear.
Hopefully WT stubbornness will backfire on the organisation.

Plastic pollution in the sea is a serious issue so, yeah, I'd like our use of plastic bags to become less.
The problem doesn't lie with the consumer. Supermarkets give us/used to give us free plastic bags.
When we're talking about law, I hope it's not gonna target ordinary people. It's up to supermarkets to provide us with sensibly-priced, environmentally-friendly, bags-for-life.
