  DocHouse - I see you've ignored my second question, well done, so I'd like to put it this way:

  Do you believe that the F&DS (GB) is God's channel to mankind?

  The fact that you've taken the trouble to join a forum that 'good' JWs regard as 'apostate' suggests to me that you  may have doubts.

  My advice to you, FWIW, is stick around - everybody's allowed their opinions and beliefs here, and allowed to voice them in a sensible manner.

  Poster country flags and privacy

  the new forum originally had a little country flag next to each post showing the country that the post was made from based on the geoip encoding (the country the ip address is from).

  before i switched over to the new site someone made an issue about it violating their privacy and i didn't want to complicate and confuse the switchover with policy debate at the same time as technical issues so removed the flags even though i disagreed.. someone has already requested it as a feature and i think it should be added back so i thought it's now time to open the discussion and get everyone's opinions.

  first, the reason i think it should be shown:.

  Greener, I just had a look at your posting history. You've recently joined and posted 16 times on 1 topic. What the f**k are you worried about? 

  Even if your name was, say, Jakob Mikkelsen from Fugloy, do you really think a flag with an off-centre, Scandinavian cross would lead to you being ID'd?

  I would LOVE to be called to the back room for this- and would plop down a Recorder and say- is this because I take Jesus's words about a SINGLE generation as true? - even if this got you DF'd? Got you treated like sh1t or ignored by your friends and family?

  Finkelstein basically beat me to it but do you still regularly attend meetings and hand in field service reports? Are you baptised? What do say if a brother remarks that it's hard to keep up with all this new light?

  I'm still not fully convinced that you are a JW, TBH.

  I would tell him/her it is their OPINION- a MISTAKEN one, since Jesus referred to a SINGLE generation - yeah but I forgot to mention it was the CO/DO's visit and he was accompanying you on your bible study.

  DocHouse - do you still go out door-to-door?

  Imagine the following scenario: you knock on someone's door and the householder expresses an interest. You and another JW conduct a bible study with him. He attends meetings. At one of these he hears about the overlapping generation teaching and asks about it in the following week's study.

  What would you say to him? Would you parrot the party line or give your own opinion?

  Welcome to the forum, LMR. My WTF moment came with the generation change of 1995, nearly a whole generation (normal definition) earlier than yours.
