This has to be a strong contender for worst OP on this forum.
Using terrorist atrocities as evidence for evolution?!
Most terrorist atrocities today are to do with religion, not evolution.
Abiather, what do you actually know about evolution?
2014 was the worst year ever for terrorism: u.s. intel chief (http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/wrost-year-global-terrorism-2014-article-1.2130490).
terror attacks reached their highest number in 2014 since 45 years of its history.
in the first nine months of 2014, there were 13,000 terror acts that killed some 31,000 people!
This has to be a strong contender for worst OP on this forum.

the "preaching work" they're so eager to brag about is just laughable.
they say their number is an indication of god's blessing.
oh, please, give me a break!
it took a few years but i finally decided to join yesterday.
my background, born-in, still go to meetings for family reasons, i am inactive however.
if you were to ask when i first woke up i would say 2010 with the overlapping generation garbage.
Welcome, the comet.
This hall is just a social club with crazy rules - yep, pretty much spot on.
in the january 2012 awake, pages 28-29 there is another article about homosexuality.. .
the writers argue that genetics, the environment, and sexual abuse do not justify homosexuality.
the bible clearly states that homosexuality is wrong and is an abhorrent sin.
All the best to you, Timothy T. If you're in a relationship with someone of the same sex, I hope you're happy together.
When I was a JW teenager I was fairly homophobic. Now that I'm older, and have actually listened and read what gay people say about their sexuality, I've come to realize that it's just the way they are - it isn't 'good' or 'bad'. Homosexuality is a natural preference that is simply not as common as heterosexuality.
Rational people think through the consequences and realise that it is hurting nobody
Don't let fundamentalists dictate how you can or cannot live your life.
RIP Leonard Nimoy.
As a kid, I wasn't big on Star Trek but found his Spock character interesting.
Also, I've always been fascinated by his surname, and wanted to know his ethnic origin. From wiki (not ideal, but there you go), apparently he was of Ukrainian-Jewish descent who could read and write Yiddish - from German: Juedisch (Jewish).
how does the fds and mr. lett think of you?.
you are a number on their balance sheet!.
from mr. lett's video about 'oneness' on jw.tv:.
to use a banking illustration, he wants us to be making deposits rather than withdrawals, from this oneness [the WTS] - a transcript of this speech should be given to the part of government responsible for recognising charities and NGOs. Hopefully the WTS' charity status will be withdrawn.
I can't watch this clown. I tried, but after literally 10 secs I had to switch off.
i am starting this topic because i was wondering, i see many who leave "the truth" are glad because they can finally have a beard.
is having a beard really a no go in congregations?
how is / was it in your congregation?.
It was a big no-no in my old congregation. I knew two friends who were brothers (not only baptised JWs but also siblings). One usually wore a neat, trimmed goatee that suited him. His younger brother was often clean-shaven but grew a goatee several times. On one occasion, he was given a good talking-to by an elder in the back room. Absolutely ridiculous!
It sounds ridiculous me saying it, but sideburns were also monitored. They had to be neatly trimmed (not bushy) and were not allowed lower than the earlobe. I remember my dad 'counselling' me for growing my sideburns down to the point of my jaw.
How's that for control-freakery?

Just realized I answered a bit too late, sorry Min!
I suppose you could have a bacon roll for lunch or tea
i'm referring to the video that was uploaded where they finally mentioned the child abuse issue.
we all kinda guessed that if they ever addressed it they'd blame it on the media and apostates.
well, looks like we were spot on.
some who have been prominent in Jehovah's organization have succumbed to immoral practices, including homosexuality, wife swapping, and child molesting (WT 1/1/86 p13)
What I find disturbing about this quote is that it seems not to make a distinction between homosexuality, wife swapping (both consensual) and child molesting (non-consensual, illegal).
I also wonder whether it might be worthwhile for someone to ring Bethel HQ, quote this Watchtower, and ask if all those JWs found guilty of molesting children were reported to the police.
