I love my life, I don't want to die

hello everyone..... i've been thinking a lot lately, when i have a chance to be alone my mind immediately comes to the topic at hand-- i don't want to die.

what would happen to my precious little girls?

but i'm so scared that it's going to happen.

The problems Bible believers have with Atheists is the burden of proof is on the Believer and we just do not have enough proof.

i recently posted a post telling this board my athesit coworker stumped me with questions about the validity of the ark story and i just cannot stop talking to her.

i love hearing her side and point of view which in the past i would have dismissed as "satanic" thinking.

she has some very good questions and i am having a hard time answering them.

My response: Yes, I have gained this knowledge from God through His Word (Matt 4:4) and from the Holy Spirit, the One who teaches us (John14:26). I believe that every part is inspired (2 Tim 3:16). God did not allow His name to be edited out of the Bible. Jehovah or YHWH can be found in the OT of the KJV. Jehovah or YHWH is not in the New Testament because it is not found in the original manuscripts. The misuse of the name, Jehovah, in the NT by the WBTS undermines key scriptures. Take for instance 1 Corinthians 10:9. NWT says: " Neither let us put Jehovah to the test, as some of them put him to the test, only to perish by the serpents." The original uses the name for Christ ( Χριστόν) , not YHWH, so that verse is wrongly translated by the WBTS. The Watchtower wants you to believe that using the name Jehovah has special significance and allows the user to have a more personal relationship with God. Jesus taught us that truely saved believers call God, FATHER, through the power of the Holy Spirit (Matt 23:9, Rom 8:15, Gal 4:6, 1 John 3:1). Which is more personal to you? Calling someone by their formal name or by their relationship to you? Do you call your parents "mom" or "dad" or by their names? Calling your parents "mom" or "dad" denotes a more personal relationship then strangers calling them by their names, does it not?

There are also many animals that have the teeth of a predator but only eat vegetation. Sharp teeth and claws does not always denote "meat-eater". http://www.icr.org/article/predation-did-not-come-from-evolution/ There are also some animals that eat meat and have no sharp teeth or claws. It's not necessarily a change in diet for some but a change in behavior which came about because of sin.

@objectivetruth: God created the angels as asexual beings, neither male nor female. They do not have the ability to procreate with humans. That is absurd.

1- we live in a time where the humanity of a child is not determined by science [chromosomes, dna] but by the feelings of the mother.. 2- gender used to be determined by the objective anatomical, psychological, and genetical differences..now based purely on your emotional self.. 3- philosophy used to be a discipline which sought for ultimate truth, arguments were deliberated, calculated, and worldviews challenged.

Lost Generation: Go to dictionary.com and look up the definiton for murder, will you. A miscarriage DOES NOT fall into that category. A miscarriage is usually spontaneous where as abortion is deliberate. How could you equate the two?

Question for Atheists.. Did you gain a Greater Sense of Morality and Happiness?

i've heard some view points that state, atheists are generally more moral & caring for fellow humans, than are theists.. i'd like to hear some personal stories of life changes and quality of life after you became atheist.

i have a simple theory that may explain this.. i'll explain my theory if you'd like, after a few responses, as i really am interested in the personal changes that you experienced.. thank you very much, and i look forward to your stories..

So, the general consensus is that all "religious" folks or believers in a Creator God are morally inferior and full of hatred? I beg to differ.

My experiences: I hated people before I came to know Jesus as my Savior. I didn't care about anyone. I never cried during sad movies and made fun of anyone who did. I watched violent, gore infested movies and listened to the likes of Marilyn Manson and Otep just to name a few. I was a common thief too. I would steal all the time. I smoked pot and drank with people I thought were my friends. I vandalised property. I was cruel to animals. I cursed like a sailor. I would practice witchcraft and spritism.

That all changed when I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. I cry during St.Jude commercials and I cry during sad movies or inspriational movies. I don't watch horror films anymore because I can't stand the violence and gore. I am disgusted at the fact I used to listen to such Satanic music. I don't steal anymore and won't even pick up a penny off the ground because it wasn't mine to begin with. I always ask now even if something is free for the taking. I still ask. I no longer do drugs or drink. In fact, I only take otc or prescription drugs if I absolutely have to. I am nicer to animals. I do not curse like I used too. I rarely say anything cuss words now. I have nothing to do with anything associated with witchcraft or spiritism. Before I did not care who lived or died, but now I sorrow for the lost. I used to be greedy but now I love giving whatever I can to those in need. I am content to live with as little as possible.

I know your question was geared towards atheists but I was tired of reading all the negative comments about those of us who believe in God. Jesus and religion are two entirely separate things and until one comes to know Jesus personally they will continue to equate the two as one.

The Vatican never opposed Hitler. Hitler and the majority of the Nazi's were indeed Catholics. After the Holocaust, the Vatican helped many Nzai war criminals evade justice through the Vatican Ratlines. They did the same for the Ustashi who slaughtered the Serbs. The Pope did not care about anyone but furthering his political and religious propaganda of power and greed. The Roman Catholic church and the Vatican have dethroned countless emperors and kings throughout history but did NOTHING to stop Hitler and in fact, supported him!

And it's nothing new that the Watchtower likes to rewrite history in order to have merit for their doctrines. They have changed the numbers on earthquakes that have occurred before and after 1914 in order to promote their end days prophecies and the invisible return of Jesus.

Thank you, Saved-JW for your post. I see more commercials on TV about animal abuse and cats and dogs being euthanized, yet not one commercial that shows the truth about abortion. Humans murder their unborn daily and toss them in the trash like yesterday's garbage. Their are more rights for animals than for our children. Our children are the ones that suffer the greatest. Whether born or unborn, they are abused and neglected and murdered. And seeing the above posts just sickens me that people still don't care. Jesus forewarned us though, that it would be like this towards the last days.

America wake up. You have the blood of over 54 million aborted babies on your hands! God will demand recompense for your lack of love, I promise.

If a website like silentscream.org does not change your thinking about abortion, then you are a monster who deserves a place next to the Devil in the lake of fire.

If your foundation of faith can be shaken with silly questions about animals killing each other, then I must say your faith was not very strong to begin with. Does not evolution teach survival of the fittest? So, it's ok for the strong animals to kill the weak in evolution but let's ask dumb questions about God "letting it happen", shall we? Look, animals kill each other for many different reasons; food, territory, out of fear, etc. Whether God or nature, that's the way it is. Do you honestly think a couple of wild boars will sit down to a cup of tea and negotiate land rights? Just asking stupid questions like you all are.

Anywho, let me help you out here, ok?

First, animals and man were created as vegetarians (Gen 1:30, ). Meat eating did not occur until after the flood (Gen 9:1-6). Animals and humans killing each other is a part of our sin nature (Gal 5:19-21, Rom 7:5, 8:13, etc). The wages of sin is death (Rom 6:23). God does care about animals. Check out the following: Proverbs 12:10, 27:23, Ecc 3:19, Ex 23:5, Is 1:11, Jonah 4:11, etc)

Second, let's talk about the Ark. One time an atheist asked me "if it's real then how did Noah get all the fish on the ark?" Seriously. You have to remember that the earth and wildlife was much different back then (even evolution teaches this; Pangea). Noah could get as many animals he wanted to on the ark, even dinosaurs. You see, God never said the animals had to be adult. Young animals are much smaller than adult animals. And dinosaurs, like all of God's creation, range in size from 5lbs on up to an estimated 2200lbs (this is based only on fragmented fossils, bythe way). The ark was about 510ft long, 45 ft tall and 85 ft wide. We do not know if all the animals we see today were the exact same ones back then. Also, Noah was told to take of each "kind", or species of animal, not every single subspecies. Example, we have the wolf, dog, coyote, fox etc, but they all make up one "kind" and that is canidae or canine.

The following verses in the Bible may even be mentioning dinosaurs: "behemoth" (Job 40:15-24), "leviathan" (Job 41), "dragons" (Psalms 74:13, 148:7, Mic 1:8, Mal 1:3, etc.)

And secularists mock us believers in the Flood of Noah but yet scientists had the idea that a global flood occurred on Mars in order to explain all of it's canyons. Mars has no water, Earth does. But Ark believers are the crazy ones? Ha!

Third, let's talk about forgiveness. God gave the people in the days of Noah 120 years to repent. That is how long it took Noah to build the ark. After he finished the ark, God allowed seven more days until the rain came. And still, the people did not want to believe Noah. Was that not enough time for them to repent? (1 Pet 3:20) It's not that God doesn't forgive, it is man that refuses to repent of their wickedness. And saying that they and the people of Sodom and Gomorrah knew no better is a sorry excuse. God instituted marriage between one man and one woman in the Garden of Eden. Yet the people of Sodom and Gomorrah were sexually perverse, both young and old, rich and poor. You see how America is getting with it's homosexual agenda? Yeah, it was like that, only much worse. And how do you know Adam and Eve did not repent? Adam lived to be 930 years old. He could've turned back to God and received salvation. We don't know. Same with the people in Noah's day. They could've finally believed in God as they were facing death. But God's word is like a locomtive going down a track at full speed. It cannot stop, it cannot turn around. All Adam and Eve had to do was obey one command and they couldn't. Their disobedience set it all into motion. And saying they did not know better is silly. God told them what would happen and they didn't care. We are not stupid, we know right from wrong. It was told to us from the beginning.
