I FIND THIS TROUBLING . . . DISTURBING . . . PUZZLING . . .
by Terry ini stumbled on to this on youtube.. i began watching it.
at first i thought it was funny.. then, something changed.
i began to realize two things.. first of all, there are 2 sides to this, and both sides have a point.. if law enforcement does not have a legal right to stop and question you .

Great video. Personally I would think twice before trying this in Texas, New Mexico or Arizona. Five miles down the lonely road you get get pulled over and get a free "tune-up" by the local constabulary. Your high tec video camera might get crushed, something illegal planted in your car. Brave souls posting these videos.

Leaving the JWs, experiencing Christianity and finding freedom! (But it took awhile)
by im_free inthis is my first post here.. i was raised in "the truth", and am an ex-bethelite who worked in brooklyn for several years back in the 90's.
a few years after i left bethel, i started to become disillusioned after doing research about the society and reading crisis of conscience (i know..i wasn't supposed to do that lol).
i eventually stopped attending meetings and going out in service.

Facebook Rumor is Bullshit, Here's Why! Coming From "MyApostateTrial".
by BucketShopBill inthe watchtower told the elders cosmo rose and dennis black and eric macgufus whoall appeared on those videos, they were going to use the "full weight of the watchtower to remove those videos and take eric botorff to court", ask eric botorff if he has been to court to have his videos removed.
same thing with chriswilting and brother wally belt(a causality of meeting with eric, she said wally was deleted for having coffee with eric), each elder and former elder told my sister "we are working on getting those apostate videos down asap!
" it's been years since those videos, do you think the watchtower has any clout, if they did those videos would be removed, it's all bunk!

We had the opportunity of meeti ng Eric and a number of people from JW Struggle at the Tahoe Aposta fest. The site has been very effective in helping many who had never heard of JWN. I was impressed.

Safe????????
I remember the Jewish Defence league abducting a Bethelite who was in service. Car chase-cops- etc. Ultra-orthadox Jews do NOT like missionaries and they carry GUNS in Isreal. Why not just send Sisters to Iran? Syria? West Bank?
The Governing body is so brave with others lives.

Vermonters Sue Jehovah's Witnesses for Alleged Sex Abuse
David Hodges 1 09/30/2014 05:00 PM 09/30/2014 06:30 PM
BURLINGTON, Vt. - Two Vermont sisters are suing their former Jehovah's Witnesses congregation in Bellows Falls and the national chapter after they say they were sexually abused by a church leader.
Miranda Lewis was joined by her mom and her two attorneys in a Burlington law office Tuesday as she described the incidents that led her to file suit against the church.
Lewis, now 23 years-old, told reporters she was abused by Norton True, a ministerial servant at the time at the Bellows Falls congregation, when she was about five years old. True's position is similar to that of a deacon according to Lewis' attorney. The lawsuit also alleges that True abused Lewis' older sister Annessa when she was four.
Lewis and her mother say they reported the sexual abuse to church leaders and to state officials at the time but that nothing came of it.
"It felt like there were politics going on or something that I didn't even discover for years after," Lewis' mom said.
Now the family says it is taking action to keep this from happening again.
"I just hope it makes them pay attention and think about it a little bit more than they have," Miranda Lewis said.
Our calls to both the local and national chapter of Jehovah's Witnesses have not been returned.
The two suits were filed separately. Miranda Lewis' suit is in Vermont Superior Court in Windsor County While Annessa's suit is filed with US District Court in Burlington. Annessa currently lives in Texas.
The suit is against both Bellows Falls Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses and the national governing body called Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of New York, Inc.
Lewis' attorney Irwin Zalkin says the victims acted courageously in coming forward to file a suit against the two bodies.
"They need to do something about what happened to them as children that has been kept silent by the Jehovah's Witnesses as they always do when it comes to what is an insidious and epidemic problem within the Jehovah's Witnesses organization," Zalkin said.
Zalkin has other lawsuits alleging sexual abuse by leaders in Jehovah's Witnesses in other states. In this case he is joined by Burlington attorney Jerome O'Neill who has been previously sued the Catholic church on behalf of victims of reported sexual abuse. -

QUESTION? : Have you joined, thought of joining, or investigated any clubs, Service organisations, or Fraternal Organizations?
by Balaamsass2 inthe mrs and i have been invited to join a few "clubs" since leaving wtbts.
we have looked into a local"moose lodge", but after one visit that particular one got checked off the list ( a sloppy drunk fell in love w the mrs. lol) .
i got invited to join the freemasons a couple of times, but it just gave me "hebe-jeebees" and bad memories of all those jw conventions at scotish rite temples as a kid- i must admit the shiners do seem like a happy crowd.

The Mrs and I have been invited to join a few "clubs" since leaving WTBTS. I got invited to join the Freemasons a couple of times, but it just gave me "hebe-jeebees" and bad memories of all those JW conventions at Scotish Rite Temples as a kid- I must admit the Shriners do seem like a happy crowd. The local "Moose" have a nice facility, but all the rules etc. remind of the old "I love Lucy" episode when Lucy and Ethel join the Garden Club. I find the local Chamber of Commerce too Republican for my taste.
Have you joined anything ? If not, why? If so, what? The Mrs likes to be Social a bit more than I, but networking is never a bad thing I guess.
