  Which of you readers are being shunned by their relatives / friends ?

  a simple " me" if you dont want to say more--or a short explanation about who is shunning you and how long has this been going on.. i'll set the ball rolling: my daughter--her husband and children; my younger son --no contact from them for 40 years...because i left their religion.. (edit--i just noticed the typo in the header--if should be of ).

  I faded about 12 years ago during an illness and move out of town- different circuit.

  I "dripped" little truths and questions on the wife (3rd gen) for a couple of years and she faded, then read Ray Franze's books and was gone 100%.

  A couple of C.O.s tried to have a "meeting" with me but I simply didn't return the calls or answer the door and after 5 years they gave up.

  I "dripped" questions and truths on Mom for a few years and she faded. Our daughter quit.

  Did the same with old JW friends on Facebook. Most are OUT now. Lots of material from this site. :)

  JW cousins and local JWs are now frenemies who shun us, but we don't care (a few hundred people) :)

  because every doctrine that is unique to jehovah's witnesses is not in the bible.

  Yep. This one is very strange. They completely ignore the actual scriptures and historical records that recount large numbers of followers and congregations during the first century and prior to the 3rd century.

  Jesus Cano! That was a weird case! My housekeepers and Servant used to look around our rooms...and bookcase. A couple of housekeepers took breaks in my room and read my cookbooks. How in the world could a pedophile keep kiddie porn at Bethel?

  Will JWs throw you under the bus if you have a transfusion?

  "if a person accepts a blood transfusion, the jehovah’s witness elders are required to “investigate” to see if the person is sorry for “cowardly” saving their life.

  if the person doesnt beg and grovel to the elders for allowing the doctor to save their life (or that of their child) then the elders can take this as a sign that he/she has disassociated from the congregation - and tell the congregation to start shunning them.. if someone willingly takes blood, perhaps because of being under extreme pressure, the committee should obtain the facts and determine the individual’s attitude.

  For the last few years, most Hospitals (in California at least) severely restricted visitors...even direct family due to COVID. Unless someone really liked to flap their gums, how would the Elders even know who takes blood? Any JW who tattles on a blood recipient if they are a medical employee faces very serious government penalties and is open to civil lawsuits due to HIPAA violations. A minimum fine of 60k with maximum fines over a million can result. Does the Hospital Liason committee even exist after COVID?

  The very foundations of the Watchtower are full of pagan symbols. Studies in the Scriptures are full of Pagan symbols and prophecy. Even the COVERS of Studies in the Scriptures the Egyptian Sun God RA and the wings of protection occur PROMENTLY.

  Someone was wise to the fact there would be written records by the Elders in the library's locked files.

  I hope they implicate the Elders conspiring to obstruct justice and not report the child abuse to the police.

  I wonder if the victim's family had contacted a law firm with knowledge of JW procedures. If there is a paper trail showing a failure to report to the police, or a pattern of previous or additional unreported cases, this could prove very embarrassing AND expensive for Watchtower and the local Elders...and possibly result in additional defendants and possibly arrests of Elders.

  man suspected of sexually assaulting a child, search warrant executed at kingdom hall of jehovah’s witnesses near woodland park" "teller county, colo. (kktv) - a 60-year-old man is suspected of sexually assaulting a child in the woodland park area.. the teller county sheriff’s office announced the arrest of shawn lance swisher on tuesday.. “a search warrant of swisher’s residence was also completed at the time of his arrest,” part of a news release issued by the teller county sheriff’s office reads.
