by Gorb indo you remember the jw.org book of revelation and how many times we had to study it?
in retrospect, all those hours turned out to be for nothing, the explanation of the prophecies is now completely outdated..

these apostates like saint athanasius, theologian, ecclesiastical statesman, and egyptian national leader decided which books would be part of the bible.
we are now following what they decided.

JWs Still Attending on Zoom
by XBEHERE inanother topic based on a conversation with a friend living near warwick (i talked to him over the weekend).
he said that cong's in and around bethel, including his, are slowly starting to see an uptick with people attending in person his cong is pretty much 75%+ in person.
however there are many that still use zoom as a fall back.

I had a PIMO friend call the other night. He was outside tossing the ball for his dog, enjoying a cocktail, AND logged into his meeting on Zoom...camera off...on mute. lol. :)
He was marked as a meeting attendee... :)
I don't see many JWs in a hurry to hurry back anytime soon.

Keep in mind New York state has opened up the statute of limitations for one year on sex abuse. This is why Trump was sued successfully. It always made me smile how Watchtower claimed the very same HORRIBLE 3rd-century "Apostate" Bishops and church leaders who decided on the Trinity doctrine.... decided which "SACRED" writings should be the Bible moving forward because of the "holy spirit's direction." :) lol

Biden running in 2024 🤣

apparently, joe biden will be seeking re-election for another term in the white house.. this, despite a recent poll showing that 70% of people don't want him to run again.. biden just has to be the worst president i've seen.
his gaffes, over-relience on a prompter, and, more than any other president, his refusal to answer journalists' questions, all go to make him top of the list in terms of bad presidents.. it will certainly provide entertainment, if nothing else..

The incident was way beyond the statute of limitations for a criminal charge.
New York State passed a ONE-YEAR exception for CIVIL cases in late fall of 2022, the bar is lower for a guilty finding "Only a pre ponderous of evidence" is needed.
Trump admitted (bragged) "grabbing women he wanted by "the pu....y" on TAPE a couple of times. A half dozen women had made accusations of just that, and a couple testified in court about him doing exactly that. So the jury simply took him at his word.
About 17% of Americans will vote for Trump no matter what he says or does. The far-right Republican base has a lot of sway during primaries. So only time will tell what Trump's future will be.
The extreme Left is about the same.
Perhaps the 76-year-old and the 80-year-old will have strokes or heart attacks during debates.......
331 MILLION Americans...and these are the two most qualified??????

Opening doors, putting your foot in the door and other dangerous activities
by Anony Mous ini was listening to the news and there is this big brouhaha about someone shooting someone through their front door.
apparently the person tried to open the door of an elderly person, scaring the homeowner and they shot a gun injuring the person.
obvious castle doctrine case.. which made me remember a rather overzealous old pioneer that used the same tactics when he knew the homeowners were home but didn’t want to come to the door, he would start opening the storm doors and try to see if the door was unlocked so he could yell inside.

In the USA the law changes from state to state and enforcement from county to county. Many "Red" states have "Stand your ground laws" which apply even outside your home. "Castle" doctrine is your residence or recreational vehicle "home". In California, they have to come through the door (threshold). Some California DAs push to have the homeowner withdraw further inside before using violence.
However, if the homeowner has been a crime victim, or has been watching a steady stream of crime TV and have a gun, they are thinking about RIGHT NOW, not what the local District Attorney MIGHT think....add in some dementia or a cocktail...and it could be "deep sleep time" for an unexpected visitor.
After these recent unexpected visitor shootings and the mass Kingdom Hall shooting in Germany, I would hope most JWs would re-think door-to-door protocols. Folks an imaginary angel will not protect you.
