  New Article - Watchtower View of Homosexuality

  i have thought about writing this article for many years, and the awake!

  2014 no.4 was the final straw.

  there it states that jehovah's witnesses show no prejudice towards homosexuals, and "they neither mock nor mistreat people whose practices differ from their own.

  Thanks for another great post Paul.

  Since leaving WT, It now strikes me as odd the preoccupation Watchtower had/has with all things sexual.

  In my day to day conversations and business these subjects just don't come up.

  Growing up in San Francisco, and then serving at the 124 Building Bethel I found it odd how many obvious homosexuals were at Bethel in the 70s in the "management"-even GB, and the constant rabid anti gay rhetoric was odd. An almost split personality of sorts..some kind of self loathing. Someone with a degree in those areas should chime in on this subject someday.

  since i woke up one year ago , i've been doing a somewhat controlled fade , the experience i've had has been a very solitary one , i don't mean by not seeing anyone i know because i know hundreds in several congregations and i was an elder .

  but just coming to terms with the fact that this was no longer the solution to life's problems, that i'd wasted so much time, that as i sat in the kh and heard everyone comment, my heart was no longer in it , i no longer fitted in ..... i felt that they were in the congregation all under the spell or some form of hypnosis from the wtbts,.

  it was like for the first time in my experience at the kh , that i was the only one to see what was actually going on , the indoctrination, the guilt tripping, i could see it all as clear as day , and yet i had as it where a metal gag over my mouth, i couldn't speak to anyone about it for fear of them turning me into the spiritual police.

  Just move, and then enjoy sleeping in on weekends.(if you can't move, a locked picket fence helps) After an extra cup of coffee, newspaper, and warm bed you will feel all better. :)

  Prince - LA Times story on WHO GETS the money?

  just an interesting read in the la times paper this morning.

  the cnn story last week about his having a foundation set up and run by ...gasp.. a "worldly" man to do all his charitable works was far more interesting to me as an insight into his viewpoints and awakening regarding watchtower.. http://www.latimes.com/nation/nationnow/la-na-prince-estate-20160427-story.html.

  I found the racal demographic interesting. About 13% of the US is black. Within JWs that number is double.

  The hispanic number is large, and I would expect that is were the US growth is. In the San Francisco Bay Area most of the new congregations were Spanish. A large number of english speaking hispanics attend Spanish cong., personal friends explained to me it was much more fun and family like. Based on spanish Congregation parties and gatherings I attended in times past, I would have to agree.

  Steven Lett asks for money again

  the 2016 january tv.jw.org broadcasting has a clear message: jw.org needs more money!.

  the 2 months of donation increase is not enough: the thousands of projects are not a 2 month project.. so: thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you (heh heh heh) and send us more!

  personal conclusion: if i had any doubts that the society is sincere, this openly money grabbing has made my perception complete.
