Cable vs the Antenae tower

i kind of wanted to know if some have made this transition from escaping the satellite/cable monopoly to the large antenaes that require no monthly bills.

does it work?

is there a good quality such as hi def?

i have an antenna, we get abc nbs cbs fox and pbs and netflx. who needs anything else? cable is so full of garbage boring repetitive shows anymore.

but even netflix is running out of good stuff.

One Day Assembly Costs How Much, WTF?

the recent circuit assembly day cost get this... $17,0000 in an assembly hall that they own!

this was announced during the assmbly at the 3/4 mark of days activities.

after he said how much the assembly cost, he then proceeded to say that we have recieved $6,000 in donations up to this point of the day.

gee, can anyone get hold of THAT info ? or those utility bills?

is there someone who works for the electric company that can get the usage for the month? Id love to know.

I never could figure out how it cost so much money to sit in a building for 6 hours? with florecent lights air conditioning or heat, water bill, and no mortgage.

WT for this Sunday...You are My Witnesses

wt 7/15/2014....page 27...question # 17...what will we consider in the next article...paragraph 17...but how can we be jehovah witnesses and at the same time be witnesses of jesus....well well well...i think they really got the point...all through the greek scriptures, that's what jesus has been saying...we are to witness about him....in the hebrews scriptures was about jehovah god, most of the world got that.

now jehovah, put another spoke in the wheel his son...jesus...that's who paul has been talking about all along...that he was witness of jesus, paul knew who god was.

i think the society monitors sites like these & others & found out....they may have been, uh...wrong....wonder how are they going to spin this one off....i won't read the next article just yet... comments anyone ..... legacy.

we are not witnesses of jehovah , the israelites were we are not wittnesses of Jesus, jesus said that to his apostles. I guess people who follow pauls ideas would be paulines? er , christains. but we would be no ones wittnesses. maybe witnesses of todays governments or the world?

when i read anything from the wt now, i have an anxiety attack. its senseless and has no point.

theyre so damn confusing and are just totally made up.

however Im pretty sure the writters of the watchtowers use david guzics commentary for material, his writting style and explinations

have very similar sound and once article a while back seemed like they had almost copied and pasted some of his actuall content

my mom made a point of telling me to go to the wt site and read the latest awake, Isaid to her, gee mom where is the positive happy bible topics? people already know the world sucks. they want good news.

all i hear is satan and the end and woe and doom. who wants that?

for me sparrowdown is a playful reference to matt 10:29 and the title of the movie black hawk down.. matt 10:29 was my go-to scrip to "prove" that god cares about us as individuals.

Why do people support abusers in the NFL?

i really don't get it.. in most sports in most countries your career is rightly over if you commit certain crimes.. but not in the good old nfl !.

it seems players can rape, beat women, abuse children, fight dogs ... and they will not only be allowed to play but they will have an army of fans wearing their names on their shirts and cheering them on.. the abuse and arrogant attitudes seem to exist at all levels - it seems like there is an endless feed of news stories where some high-school or college football players have abused or raped girls and they end up being allowed back to play and people rallying round as though *they* are the victims.. surely, whatever someone's skills as an athlete are, there are some things that simply can't be excused?.

or is winning truly 'everything' and it doesn't matter the cost?.

shes trying to trap you into a permanant relationship. dont think for a moment that she doesnt have it in the back of her mind tha tyou will follow her

no matter where she goes. when she has a child, If any of her relatives[or close freinds] are witnesses you better believe she will go to the kingdom hall. Ive lived this expereince. thats where her support will come from.

you have to be on the same page from the get go, so that you both are in agreement about raising children.

New Leaflet to give to JW about TTATT

hi to all my fellows "apostates" in all world... especially in e.u.a.

and uk.. as some of you already know, ex-jw in portugal created a leaflet especialy to send to jw in all the country (individualy or to congregations).

we must say that it was a sucess from the point of view of the impact originated.

How would you answer?

a friend of mine (who is waking up), recently had the elders do a sheep herding visit.. they were browbeating my friend about attending meetings.

my friend has been ill and unable to attend anyway.. what response would you give to this garbage?.

if we were in a house and it was on fire and we couldnt walk we would have to crawl.. an example of a sister with an iron lung was brought up to show that if shes in this condition, we need to examine ourselves.

wow what bullying. so they have went there not to see how she is doing and ask if they can help, they went for no other reason than to see why shes not in attendance.

what happened to al lthe articles about how were NOT supposed to compare ourselves to others? that we all have different levels of abilities and emotional makeup? that were supposed to be supportive NOT accusitory? all the good in the messages go out the window huh?

the lack of empathy and human logic that so many people have developed from these twisted teachings boggles my mind. and oh
