It is official they're selling off Kingdom Halls in Britain

i posted here a week ago some disturbing news for congregations being consolidated in britain.

my goodness that was nothing !

a letter was read today from bethel addressed to all congregations in britain that can only be described as the biggest news for years.the main points:.

my mom told me that on saturday they are having a 'special' buisness meeting to 'explain' all the changes that will come about. she was just at a saturday assembly day.

she asked me if i wanted to go. she knows i havent been to a meeting in many months.

I said why didnt they talk about that at the assemlby?

I told her i was going to my grandaughters birthday party.

she then said, well i got to get ready for meeting, and hung up.

i bet she tells my father who, all his life was not a jw, and critisized the jws, and who now, at age 74 is studying, [and calling me disturbed] ,

that i have decided to start celebrating holdays. lol,

well i have ONE grandchild, and for 12 years i have missed her parties and christmas days, and grandma days and all of that stuff,

and never bought her a single gift for her birthday.

well thats changing on her 13th birthday, this week. she will be an adult soon enough,

Ive missed enough memories sitting alone, being 45 minuets away by car,

not having her visit, and missing so much of her childhood school years.

The Mosaic Law (Is it still Valid)

i'm interested to know of some of your view points out this.. is the mosaic law still valid, and should it be followed.

or as many claim was it done away with?.

from my examination of scripture, i feel that it is still valid, and christ did not do away with it.. briefly here are the primary reasons i feel this way :.

jesus was under the law, so was paul, i believe, its still in force, yet Id say according to what i recall reading,

you either have t o come under the law and do it perfectly

or you remain a gentile who are not under the law.

the big problem with how I view the bible now, [knowing that revelation is only about the destruction of the temle at jerusalem, which is done,[and all scripture was written after the fact anyway,]

we can leave any revelation out of the formula. to me its figuring out IF ALL HAS BEEN ACCOMPLISHED, with that destruction of the temple.

many jews did not acccept Jesus as a savior.

there is good reason based on some written and other historical evidence from lots of researchers, to believe jesus was invented by the roman governement to quiet the religious battles that went on at the time. they needed a state religon to force people to obey, to stop the unrest

.they chose christianity, and then those laws were forced on the populace. the reason behind this is the bible itself, many places tells people to obey the superior authorities, and is pro roman throighout making rome seem favorable to God.

ok so i know its not really anything to do with jwness but we are struggling with baby names and really can't think of one we both like.

its getting a bit desperate as i'm due in about 8 weeks .. i'm getting bored of looking at the same old names on the baby names websites so any suggestions would be much appreciated (girls please).. **cash prize for the one we choose!

lol, there are a million adens calas emilies, olivias, sofias, lillies lilliannas ashleys, millies, makalas, ashtons savana, keelies and jordons.

and and 89 percent of the other names metioned in your posts. pick a name that cant be made fun of.

think of one that makes for nice initials. sometimes seeing three letters in a row written in script it gives you a good feeling.

then when you pick a letter you like, go from there. think of the child, will she get her name shortened? do you want it shortenned? please dont use the letter P [ Poopoo head patty,lol]

one that was not mentioned was my grandmas name, Grace.[GRACIE] and her middle name was olive. [ I had a girlfreind named margret ann]

asia was a name i liked, pronounced like the country. but the only middle name In my opinion,

that would go with Asia is lynn. Asia Lynn. my daughters name is leah.

the old names are coming back, and there are too too many people trying to combine two names, like donya, adalynn, ect . thats too common.

casey, and tracy is good for boy or girl

think of this, IF it can be made fun of in school, If its hard to spell for a small child, IF its hard to say for small children ,

If it makes people think of a hooker, stay away from those names. lol.

ps: some people wait till they have the baby for a day or two, to see its little personality, its eye color, and hair, then they choose one that fits the baby.

Can a JW go home for Christmas ??

jw love to make a big deal about christmas but the reality is alot of people have time off work from christmas to new years.

we like to go home.

with me being an ubm does it become an issue within the cong ?

i know losts of wittnesses that have off those days and extend thier 'vacation' and go home to see family, the thing is no one knows, becasue its no ones buisness. its a conscience thing . no one askes if you dont tell them your day to day buisness.

it might come up later , in conversation, that 'so n so' went on vacation because they had off work. down in south carolina apparently the congregations down there are vry secretive, a sister from up here in pa, moved there a few years ago, after her husband retired and she was telling my mom [who goes to her old hall], that its so strange in south carolina, people dont even tell you that anyone is sick! if she asks how someone husband or wife is doing they say fine and change the subject, which for the jws up here because there is gossip all the time, but good gossip mostly to help people out, but also bad of course.

so , you know, you dont need to tell anyone anything. if you dont show up for meeting no one should ask some one why werent there.

and btw i dont know what a ubm is. unbaptised man? lol.

if i read it will i get depressed ? I sure am about the lack of concern for global warming , all i can think of is that in 15 years when my grandchild is going to be a mom, and my son has kids, the world will be a disaster environmentally, and then the 6th extinction.

no, because they lied ruined my life and control peoples logic, and disfellowship.

im going to my granddaughters bd party for the first time shes going to be 13.

ill never do halloween, i wont 'do' christmas but enjoy pretty lights and family dinners, [not that we ever attended any]

and the holiday spirit of just being nice. I might get my only grandchild a gift, maybe.

most of my family are jws so they dont bother with us, my husbands family wont bother with us

because being jws in the past we never bothered with thier family dinners so they never invited us.

my husband wants a turkey dinner, but we have no one to invite. yet.

more work for me. yay!

and so I GUESS I better humor her, and have a laugh myself, better arm myself with two highlighters, and a note book, and some tylenol...

What would be your favorite job if you could do anything.?

on the basis that most of us realise the w.t wasnt really the best " job" or way to spend our days, it would be fun to find out what people would really have liked to have done with there lifes and if this is still possible.

or maybe its not even a very realistic ambition just a dream.

in my dreams i stay at home all day and make a living from being a professional artist.maybe i need a phycholgist?.
