why am i still single?

i have the hardest time meeting singles in the "world".

currently inactive.

but my dating situation is sort of in limbo and its driving me mad..

how many non born ins ever attended a church?

im curious, how many people on here had belonged to another church, or have enough knowlege of one.

to have thought the kingdom hall was a better option?

the wt articles often in the past, critisized other churches as being full of false christains, i have one from 1955 that rips on the roman catholic church.. not that they are free of guilt, but, i thought, gee, how many of these critisizers ever went to a small church to make that judgment?.

i had a jw freind who made a comment once as we were driving past a church, I commented on how pretty all thier flowers were, and she said

'oh thats an apostate church'. i laughed and said to her "well i bet those people who go there dont think so,

and I bet they believe in Jesus just as much as we do, and surely they have good qualities that God appreciates.

churches are not full of fake christains , there are good people in all faiths."

I thought wow, what an outlook to have on the very people she was supposed to preach to.

not sure what she took from that.

the wt org, particularly critisizes the catholic religion a

whole lot back in the early days. evidentally becasue it was the largest one at the time.

but really, who has been in one long enough to know if they are all as the wt society say's is ' wrong' ?

how many on here have had a positive exp with another organization?

why didnt God just do this?

for one thing, i cant get past genesis, but no matter.. when god told adam and eve if you eat from the tree youll die.

so why did he not simple let them die and not allow the offspring to?.

you see, if i was a god, and i told two people that, id let them die , .

I need help

im new here, and dont know much about jw, other than what im reading.

i have my best friend who is having bible study in her home with 2 witnesses, and she is soaking it in.

she is very defensive and is getting more and more closed off.

wow, and just think, the organization and all those jws could have easily prevented all of this is they simply used A BIBLE at thier meetings

and FREELY discussed it . and went home.

refering to 'the law' , the requirement to read or repeat was always for ' the law'. were not under 'the law' so we have no use for it really.

once we recognize the simple truth, good news, whatever, that Jesus died for our sins, we have no real need to read anything if we dont want.

the bible as far as i can see was written for those under the law of moses, even the book of james which is adressed to teh 12 tribes of israel

from which the 144000 were chosen from. has nothing to do with we 'gentiles'. other than recreational reading, its not a requirement.

wow what a relief.

i have to share this with you.. after leaving the borg i had to concentrate to solve so many personal problems (financial, child custody, etc.

) that it left me with a poor social life.

i just didn't have the nerve/time to make new friends.

yes but dont forget cookiemaster what people do good that they thing they do for the lord ,

will still get thier reward,

so long as in thier heart the believe they are doing the right thing, and do not [knowingly] give glory to men.

so unfortuantely we can demonize individuals for at least giving an effort . I know too many sweet innocents. i just want them to be happy regardelss of what they belive.

what you describe having freinds who also agree that men should not get the glory, is what true christains should be doing

associating, sharing ideas freely being accepting, and not forcing it on others.

I try not to get too carried away critisizing those who have no idea they are beng misled.

hopefully you can simply get by having fun and benefiting from both sides of the issue.

there was a point in genesis in ch2 vs 15 it says that God took the man and put him in the garden. why?

where was he before? what was he doing? why confine him to a garden? you notice that the rivers were already named,

and at some point, they even mention the gems and minerals that were around. who would know that?

later adam gets a wife. now MEN, tell me that as a man being alone gettin a woman your not going to mount her asap?

so God prevented her from having chldren? that goes against what he purposed.

no , I think she did have children. but they went to the other earth, or to heaven when those two sinned.

why do i think she had children?

becasue when they sinned it was said that her pain in giving birth will INCREASE.

so she had to have has children to have know what pain was right? [why would a perfect creation have pain upon birth? hmmm. ]

then eve being perfect an taught by God , believes in a talking aniimal? how would she know what good and bad was unless she wittnessed it , and wittnessed death. did she know waht death was? was she afraid of it?

no, If anything, it would be simply an angelic creature that was also in the garden, coming and going, then deciding that he is gong to mess with eve and probably took a while to convince her to eat the fruit.

maybe she was blackmailed.

when the angels were preventing them from finsing the tree of life. when they blocked the entrence it says in vs 21 of ch 3 that he must not be allowed to take of teh fruit of the tree of life and live forever!!!

yea, so if they found the tree of life they would live forever?? so they were banished fro mthe garden.

wow then woman are to crave thier husband and he will be dominant over her, well that means

originally men and women were EQUAL??
